Lysine helps my mouth, generally. I take extra when I have chapped lips or if I have a cut in my mouth...it really seems like things heal a little faster when I take this supplement. I've been taking this supplement for many years and have noticed no side effects at all. I had previously used this same brand of Lysine in 1000mg format, but the individual pills were just too big for me. I love the 500mg size, they are much easier to swallow and work just as well.

this did not suit me. I was getting lots of itching effect after Shingles attack. Not sure if this tablet has side effects for me. Dont buy anything without consulting doctors. Its not for everyone

I've been using Lysine for 30 years. I developed cold sores/fever blisters many years ago and thought I had to suffer with the itching, the breakout, the pain and, finally, the horrific scabbing.
