Way better than the string you get with a kite, plus 500 ft almost touches the clouds !

Omg! Awesome string! It is great! I just got a new shark kite on Amazon. The multi color shark. I had a costco kite but it was no good. This kite is awesome. However we go to the beach... we live in the West Coast. We have wanted to fly high and never had enough string. With this string I can't start to explain how fun it was. Wr had more than enough string! Can you even see the kite! Barely!!!! It was so fun. The holder is great and you can hold this string with two hands as it spins in your hand and the kite flies up. It was super easy to let the string out. Wasn't sure how easy it would be but wow I'm surprised. Of course pulling it in takes a little longer but all in all I am very happy. My 8 year old was stoked at the distance this thing flew. We were at the waters edge flying this kite over highway 1 lol. Glad it was so windy it never fell.

I bought two of these to replace the cheap kite handles that came with my kites. I'm so glad I did! Spools are so much easier to handle than handles. You have more control over the kite, and you don't have to worry about one arm getting tired, and they're easy to wind up with one hand while flying the kite. Also, this spool has the string tied to the spool, which is really important! (I think it's just common sense, but I know there are some spools that don't.) I used this spool on the green kite (pic) which is a relatively strong-pulling kite, too strong for a child, and the string and clip held up with no problems. That kite needs to fly high, and it has two 35-foot tails. It worked very well. I can't even imagine ever using all 500 ft of string. One very important note: We have a very small butterfly kite that we tried it on, and it didn't work. It was too heavy. That kite flies great with the small kite handle that came with it, but it wouldn't fly with this spool. I can't blame the spool; That's not what it's made for. On a side note, if you lighten your grip on it and let the kite pull it out, the handles on the spool can get hot on your skin, similar to rope burn, but that's not the spool's fault either. That's just physics.
