Tapo TP-Link SolarCam C402 Kit, Outdoor Battery Camera w/Solar Panel Base, Wireless, 1080P, Free Person Detection, SD/Cloud Storage, Color Night Vision, No Hub Needed, Works w/Alexa

This little security camera is simple and solid. Setup was straightforward, and the live video feed is clear enough for checking on things at home. It works well for basic surveillance or keeping an eye on pets. Nothing fancy, but for a basic home camera, it gets the job done. I think it is good for home but you can go with 3mp option if you want it for office or parking area.

One of the best. 360 view, gives me full color night vision annd 24 hour sound. The quality is excellent, got no problems in 2 years, have tons of useful features and settings. Tapo thoguht of everything that one might need. Customer service was also very good, very cooperative, helpful. Only sometimes if someone or something like a dog or cat walks past by fast then it doesn't rotate fast enought to catch it. It has two way talk but the speaker are not loud enough for the outsider to hear you clearly however you can hear them clearly on your phone . Perhaps tapo should imporove the software to catch fast speed motion and put louder speakers. But otherwise, it is excellent in every way, no issues

I bought TP-Link Tapo C500 Outdoor Pan/Tilt Home Security WiFi Smart Camera in February 2024, Sold By: Appario Retail Private Ltd. My reviews are based on the continuous usage of this security camera thoroughly at my home for a year till now. Pros. DETECTION 1. Both motion and person detection. 2. Customizable detection zones. 3. Increase or decrease the sensitivity of motion detection. TRACKING 1. Both motion and person tracking. 2. Costumizable tracking zones. 3. 'On' or 'Off' the tracking mode. PATROLLING 1. 360° non-stop patrolling. 2. Costumizable patrolling zones. 3. Costumizable patrolling schedules. PAN/TILT Adjustable DEGREES the camera will move per tap of pan/tilt. ALARM 1. 'On' or 'Off' the ALARM mode. 2. Alarm for camera TAMPERING or OBSTRUCTION. 3. Adjustable sensitivity for alarm mode. VIDEO/DISPLAY 1. Customizable video quality; 1080P, 720P (data-saving) and 360P (smallest data rate). 2. Customizable PRIVACY zones. 3. Option for INVERTIBLE image. RECORDING 1. Customizable recording schedules; continuous recording, detection recording. 2. Sound recording. 3. Cloud (subscription) and SD card recording option. NOTIFICATION 1. For motion/person/tampering. 2. Customizable schedule for notifications. 3. Notification with snapshot (subscription). TWO-WAY audio facility. LED light. VOICE CALL mode. REEBOOT & AUTO REEBOOT facility. UPDATE & AUTO UPDATE facility. Cons. So far, there are no major drawbacks with this camera, just a few minor issues. 1. After prolonged live streaming, the camera may occasionally stop streaming live, although it continues recording in the background. Once you reboot the camera, the live streaming resumes. 2. Another tiny issue I've encountered is with the camera's rotation. When there's movement directly beneath it, the camera sometimes fails to fully track and rotate to follow the object as needed. 3. NO NIGHT VISION This feature is available in C510W TP-Link 2K 3MP model, with 3 different mode; Infrared mode, full colour mode, smart mode (switch from infrared to full colour mode when detect any activity). 4. NO SPOTLIGHT This feature is available in C510W TP-Link 2K 3MP model. However, these are some small issues, and overall, the camera's features are excellent.

Once I received the camera it was working fine without any issues After 5 to 6 months it stopped working suddenly. I connected with customer care, it's very difficult to connect with customer care They will not reply to the mail and u should wait for 10 to 15 mins in call to get connected with someone,, finally I connected somehow, they asked me to send the camera via courier to them.. I sent after they receive the camera they sent me other camera, The problem becomes more here, The camera which I sent was the latest version which consists of 4 LEDs, 2 for night vision and 2 for flash light And the camera which I received consist of only 2 LEDs which is night vision, I was ok with the camera if I don't have flash light.. But the problem was different. The camera which I received from customer care, was having multiple problems. It was getting reconnecting once in a 3-4 minutes. Rotating Motors were too loose. It was not easy to use, if I click on tilt button it will. Stop working and goes to reconnecting. The camera quality was also not good.. So there were multiple problems.. I again connected with customer care,they again asked me to send the camera. And i cleared mentioned in mail and informed the same thing in call as well The camera I sent for replacement had 4 LEDs (2 flash lights and 2 night lights). The camera I received has only 2 LEDs, which are night lights only — it does not include the flash light LEDs. For reference, I have attached images of both cameras. And i requested for correct version With 4 LEDs After 20 days I received the camera Unfortunately They sent me the same camera with which I was facing multiple issue.. @amazon or @tapo can anyone help me here Please We will buy camera for safety of our house, Not to look into the issues of camera all the time..

The CCTV camera is value for money, after I receive the parcel. The box was in good condition in sealed packed. There were no alteration or tampering in the box. The CCTV camera is working smooth, video quality is satisfied. I'm happy with my purchase. Night vision and AI motion detection is working good.

Good one. But I would reccomend to go for the higher options in the tapo series of you have the money.

Static is all that you hear in live and recording modes. The camera (& in fact all tape camera that I bought) have very bad Audio and Video EXTREMELY BAD QUALITY MICS making it extremely difficult to hear anything. The camera is good for video and pics only. If you want to record and monitor voice, steer away from this camera and this brand in general.

Fantastic camera. Has all it's features with great price. Can't ask for more. Bought 3 myself and would be buying more.
