This came right away, within a week of placing the order, and by itself (without any of the other items I ordered at the same time). Packaging was great, there was an outer amazon box, and inside a box containing the cooling pad. I have the same comment as one of the previous reviewers regarding the 2 USB ports, however. Be aware, one of the ports will need to be used for power so, really you're just getting back the USB port from your computer that you use to supply power to the cooling pad. I like the speed control, it seems to control all of the fans equally and relatively linear from the lowest to maximum speed. At max speed, it does make an humming sound, however. I use headphones usually, so it doesn't bother me much, but when I'm not wearing the HP it's definitely there, and I think it would get annoying kinda quick. The little plastic stops to keep your laptop on it are very flimsy plastic. I had one side pop out of the little slot it mounts in, but it didn't break and I was able to put it back. Not sure how long they'll last though. Pleased with the purchase, it cools very well.

I bought one of these from another vendor. It worked well for a few weeks then got noisy. Over time it continued to get worse. This one is working great. Can't hear it at all. I have used it for about three weeks so far. I will update this review if I see any changes. At this point though. I definitely recommend this model. ***Update 04/23/21*** I use this fan everyday with my 17" HP. I has been excellent for over 2 years. recently it has started to make noise when it starts up. for a while I were able to bump it and it would stop for several days. Now finally it is getting louder and is harder to stop. I still recommend it but wish it would last longer since it basically has no load on it.

Product is relatively functional, but not great. Ordered 2 pieces. Unit 1 cools OK, but makes a terrible ticking/clicking sound that gets worse as the speed is reduced. Cools cpu reading by about 14 degrees, 142 -> 128 … Unit 2 is quieter, but has less airflow and cooling at full power. Cools cpu reading by about 10 degrees, 142 -> 132…

nice product with one complaint, if you bump it even so lightly, it slams down flat. holder doesn't work well

It does a great job cooling the laptop, but the plastic base is flimsy and cheap! The base broke a few days after receiving it, so I "repaired" it with tape. A couple days after that It broke in another place and would no longer support the laptop in an angled position. I've since returned it for a refund.

Boy this is a great fan for the laptop, I just love it. Really puts out the air too.

1 of 6 fans stop working after barely use 3 months and 1 more fan is about to give up. I don't know how long this will last.

Fake description, fake pictures, broken cooler. Total garbage (details below). One of 6 coolers was dead from the box (see pic), another one makes strange noise, I dont believe it's gonna live too long. Dimensions (which were crucial for me!!) are not the ones mentioned in description. Where it need to be bigger, it's smaller, and the total height is bigger then it said, so I had to remove rubber pads from it to fit where I need it. Picture with green coolers from description is completely fake, collers are veeery small and airfow they make not orth even $5. Overal, this garbage can't be over $10, but they sell it for 42+.
