I love Dolly and preordered this as I collect niche cookbooks. I was NOT disappointed! Laughed my way through the entire thing. The picture and stories are heartwarming and genuine and it’s wonderful to hear anecdotes from Dolly’s childhood and the clear love she has for food and family. The recipes are repetitive and sometimes a little absurd but this only adds to the charm. Green Beer (beer and green food colouring) is the best. They tried to dye Guinness but it didn’t work 😅. And the fabulous Beer Bucket recipe (put various beers plus ice in a bucket) had me chuckling. I’m so happy I have this wonderful book! Buy immediately and enjoy - with some ‘Slaw of Many Colours’ ! 10/10

Libro carino per chi non conosce nulla o quasi nulla dei piatti americani. Ciò di positivo che ha questo libro è che è diviso per mesi, presentando di capitolo in capitolo cosa gli americani mangiano. Le ricette sono buoni ma alcune sono molto molto semplici. Lo consiglio comunque a tutti coloro che vogliono sapere di più della cucina americana. Dolly, poi è uno spasso. Per chi non la conosce è probabilmente la cantante americana di musica country più famosa del pianeta!
