Mat is darker than it seems in the photos. In the photos, it seems bright and welcoming. The real mat is darker, and looks worn and a bit dirty. Particularly the perimeter of the mat. It seems like tough material that will endure but that's less important to us given our climate. The appearance is a bit off.

Pleasing pattern; sets the tone of the house right on the doorstep.

Just as nice as the picture and description! The mat arrived and immediately went down in the front porch. I had a difficult time making up my mind on this purchase, but am extremely pleased with the mat. It has such gorgeous colors and does a fantastic job of ridding shoes of any dirt We just had a stone patio built in our backyard, so the first day of having the mat saw it getting plenty of use. We had been tracking in sand, dirt, and small pebbles for a week. I vacuumed just before I put it down and noticed that there was a negligible amount of dirt in the floors at the end of the day. I’ve had previous mats made of this material and have found that they wear extremely well even with cleaning. I prefer these over the looser fiber mats where colors or designs rub off much easier with wear. I will update at the end of the summer to comment on wear and any issues with cleaning.
