Go by waist & hip measurements
*UPDATE 8/11/19* Now that I am about 1 month and half post lipo, I noted the XL seemed to have stretched and didnt provide as tight compression as I needed and I started to get a lot of sernomas and lumps even though I basically lived in the garment and did lymphatic massages. My stomach started to just hurt and be hard in some spots. A lot of my swelling post stomach lipo has gone away. So i measured and ordered a Medium. I've lost a few lbs since my initial ordering and my measurements are now: waist 29, hips 40, weighing 173lbs. I would still say this is true to size and to go by hip and waist measurements. It's supposed to be tight and I did struggle to get the medium up over my hips/butt , after that it went on smoothly. I wear the garment with my ab board and to flank pads as it tends to fold in the sides...guessing because I'm short waisted. The only con I see between both sizes I've ordered are the shoulder straps. I dont think it matters what size, the straps are just weird and can put a lot of pressure on the shoulders LENGTHY REVIEW...BUT I hope it helps someone. I'm two weeks post lipo and wanted a short compression garment. The one I received from my physician after lipo is knee length. The reviews/sizing is so scattered on this garment. So after looking at this garment and reading reviews for days.... I finally ordered it based on my hip and waist size. My measurements are waist =30, hips = 44. I weigh 180, athletic, curvy build. I wear a size 9/10 in pants usually a large top. Looking at the chart here, I am in between L and XL. I'm always concerned if my thick thigh will fit things, so I decided to size up to XL. I was kind of nervous when I opened the packaging as a lot of reviews say go two sizes up. It looked extremely small. So...here goes it. You have to put this baby on little by little, inch by inch. It's best to sit down and put it on. I put one leg in and pulled up to my thigh, then the other leg...(rest break. 🤣) shimmied it around my butt and then pulled the straps on my shoulders(rest). Then just take your time and do the hooks....maybe easier lying flat. All set... I did break a sweat putting this thing on, but it is the compression I need to finish healing...great support. If I had any CONS, I would say the chart on the packaging is different then what's listed here. Also the straps are a little tight if I adjust them, so i left them unadjusted. I know sizing up to an 2XL will be bigger and not provide the support i need.

Thumbs up
My first order was as a 4XL I’m 5’5” 295lbs and normally wear a 3X. This one was to small for me so I ordered a 6XL and it works. A little difficult to get on but nit more than I expected. Apparently there’s 2 different size charts, not clear to my understanding as of why. Put upon getting the 6XL I am pleased with my purchase. I have worn it 3 times and each time gets a little better fit because I learned how to properly stretch it to fit. I would recommend, I also would probably get the 4XL on but with a lot of help and prayer lol. It pretty comfortable although I have to not wear the shoulder straps because they dig so. The open crotch give lots of room to freely use the bathroom. After sitting in the car for over an hour it did feel to dig into my inner uppermost thigh area so I had to readjust it.

Does not fit even sizing up! No refunds or exchanges
Do not buy this unless you know for a fact that it will fit you. You have to go up 2 sizes cause it runs VERY small! I tried to do an exchange & this seller does NOT ALLOW EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS. I wear a medium to large in ALL clothes depending on what the clothing is. I do have a big butt, I kept this in mind when buying this body shaper & ordered an XL. I also decide on XL as a suggestion by Amazon that I should order an XL based on all the sizes I usually buy & the feedback from Amazon reviews that this runs small. Well… it did not fit at all. I barely got it over my butt & could not zip it at all! I wouldn’t buy from this seller simply for the fact that you cannot return or exchange it if it doesn’t fit or is not what you expected. It’s not like you can try it on before you buy it. This is the first item I’ve bought something on Amazon that could not be exchanged. If you buy this, go up like 2 sizes. I don’t understand the good reviews on this. If the seller allows me to exchange, I will change my review. Otherwise, I do not recommend buying from this seller. I am out the money for this cause the item is useless to me unless I lose like 30 lbs before my event in 3 days. No way this XL would fit ANYONE that actually wears an XL normally cause, as I said before, I wear a medium (size 10) in dresses & things I don’t have to fit over my butt and I wear a large (size 12) in everything else & this was WAY TOO SMALL. I even have some jeans that are size 10 that fit me snug, but I can still wear them… so an XL in America should be no problem at all for me.

Excellent quality garment and working very well for post-lipo compression
The quality of this garment is fantastic, no question. I followed the size chart and got a Large (I’m 5’4” 172 lbs, 33” waist, 45” hips) and had a very hard time getting it on the first time but did eventually get it on. Since then I’ve just wondered is it really supposed to be this tight to the point where I kinda can’t breathe as deeply. I recently had lipo of my abdomen so I need a good compression garment and this is definitely doing the trick. When i take it off I can see it has helped my swelling a lot and smoothed out the post-lipo bumps. Either it is stretching slightly as I wear it to be more bearable or I’m getting used to it. The hole in the crotch for going potty is a nice try but you’d really have to take it off to use the bathroom if you don’t want to make a mess. Also the shoulder straps kinda dig into me a bit but I’m planning to get bra strap extenders to make this better. Legs are great and don’t rise up at all.

Good Material, Excellent compression, too short?
I was very excited about purchasing this compression garment as i had seen recommendations from YouTube makeup and style guru @pinupdollashleymarie. I then decided to pick one faja from this brand. I measured myself and made sure to size up, the faja is in excellent condition and is made of very good materials. The only issue I had with this faja, is while it has a inner leg latch to make sure you can go to the washroom comfortably, it's giving me an odd shape in that area. None of my dresses that I wear this with show the odd shape, but the front part of the panty is kinda short and flattens out in an odd shape the front part of my crotch. Also the torso seems to be very short, If I attempt to pull the elastic band all the way under my bra, then it pulls very uncomfortably on the crotch too. This faja is very compressed around the waist and as the day goes by it creeps up the whole panty and can be very inconvenient. I am 5'2", and now weigh 138lbs. I picked a Large. so while the upper torso compression works very well, the "waist" compression causes my lower belly to protrude in an odd way. Maybe this is more for smaller lady who desires a waist and has very little lower belly, I do wear this faja but not very often. the compression around the waist makes it very uncomfortable and am always pulling on the panty to lower it, as it creeps up around my middle. I did decide to purchase another model, because I felt that the fabric was excellent and so was the workmanship. I purchased a faja from the same brand but that has shorts instead of this panty. That one fits much better, but I must wear this one every once in a while so that the good one gets cleaned.

Honest Review! Please read!
I was going to buy the 4xl because everyone in these reviews says it's small, well ladies, if you want a real shape wear it's going to be small and tight but that's why it's 100% spandex, it stretches! I went by my measurements, therefore I ordered a 2xl. Mind you, I am 5'6" and 270lbs with my weight being proportional throughout my body with a 42F breast size. I had my boyfriend help me snap the hooks and zip it while I laid down on the bed and he got it zipped all the way, ladies! It felt good, I was bending, stretching and moving fine in it. To sit was a little awkward but it will be like that for any shape wear. The pictures are with clothing on and you cant even see it under them. My only complaint, it unhooks right on the shoulders straps and since it's suppose to be right and tight, it does dig into the shoulders quite a bit where my bra strap goes over my shoulder with the existing hooks. It didn't show that in the pictures so I was surprised to see it when I got it on. It does come with a halter top style, hook like strap that can be worn around the neck. I do like this very much I got the salmone nude one with the thick straps. I can't wait to wear this with some tighter dresses this summer! Thanks for reading! Hope it helps!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!
I have tried a few different kinds of Fajas and always had issues... I have a short torso so some were either too long and would dig painfully under my rib cage, another was too tight in the crotch area which made sleeping and sitting uncomfortable, another one was too tight in the thigh area and created bulges where the elastic ended. So I was searching for another stage two compression garment (I recently had lipo and bbl). This Salome faja popped up but the reviews on it were mixed but what made me consider it is most people said it was not constricting in the thigh area and was very comfortable. So I went on a whim and purchased it and let me tell you, after 45 minutes of huffing and puffing, I finally got into this thing and it was soooo COMFORTABLE and gave me an instant hour glass shape! I still have swollen areas post lipo so I wore it with lipo foam underneath and the compression was amazing. Now for those that use the ab board, U will not get it into the garment the first time wearing it but after a day or so it will fit in there as the garment will stretch a bit after the first use. It is so comfortable, I have big thighs and this thing does not dig or cause painful lines due to tightness. The elastic on the thigh area is super comfy. I am 5’4 170 pounds and I got a Medium. Oh and also there’s a gap from where the top of the faja ends to your boobs so it doesn’t dig into your sternum when u sit or sleep which is a good thing for those of us with short torsos. Idk how it would fit a person with a longer torso. Another tip, I bought bra extenders as I got the style with the full back and those are notorious for having tight straps and my breasts are large so the extenders are absolutely amazing. I will order a smaller size to keep for future use as my swelling goes down. Love love this faja so much!

Review for Post Surgery Compression Garmet
This review is not for those looking to suck in the belly fat. It is for those who are looking for an after surgery compression garmet. There is a HUGE difference in the type of shaper you need when you have surgery. I had a tummy tuck with lipo and needed a good compression garmet for swelling. After a tummy tuck your abdomen is swollen and HARD. There is no give like there is when you have a little pudge to control. My pudge was removed and I was so frustrated trying to find a shaper that worked for me which didn't cost hundreds of dollars. I have ordered and returned at least 15 compression shapers from all different brands including Salome. Most were too small because I ordered based on my MEASUREMENTS. BIG MISTAKE. You cannot order your size when you are looking for after surgery garments. The shapers are designed to suck in pudge and I'm sure work perfectly for that feat. But for after surgery compression you need at least 2-3 sizes bigger because there is no give in the belly area and it's painful trying to put a garmet on. I struggle even at week 5 postop. I am a size 10. My under bust measurement is a 31.5. My waist is a 32.5 (with swelling) and my hips are a 41. According to the size chart I should fit a size large. The sizes vary by shaper even within the same brand. I had to order a XXL to get the comfort and compression I needed to heal properly. This particular shaper Salome 0413 works the best for me. It's a great price. I'm very happy with this as it also rounds my booty and gives it a little lift and smooths out the bra area on my back that bulges from back fat when you put your bra on (that's going to be my next cosmetic procedure - I'm saving those dollars for it!). Comfort is Most important since you'll be in your garmet 24 hours a day. Anything that prevents you from sitting and lying comfortably or eating is counter productive! Hope this helps some of you avoid the frustrating learning experience I went through. Enjoy!
