It is only 1.25 litres, plenty for three mugs, however it boils quickly so making multiple drinks is not really a problem. It is well balanced when pouring and pours without splashing even when on the boil. The metal lid fits snugly and when removed there is plenty of room around the handle to fill direct from the tap. The mesh filter is also readily accessible for cleaning. It weighs around 945g when empty and around 2.25kg when filled to the max level, the metal handle feels sturdy and secure with plenty of room to get a firm grip. All in all a great buy.

The kettle feels well made and of good quality. It is stylish and fits in well with our modern kitchen. Beautiful kettle goes on for years temperature of the water is as it should be for making tea and coffee. This Black kettle is a replacement for the same kettle and trust me it is used a lot !! Matches my items in the kitchen without being overpowering such a timeless style with a good pour. Low noise unless it needs descaling! Everything l wanted for the money good value all round.
