What kind of foam are these made out of? Do they off gas?

Most likely urethane foam (I could be wrong but I know most foams in furniture and mattresses are urethane) which is really bad for you. “ Prolonged exposure to petroleum-based chemicals in products like urethane material may affect the nervous and immune system and cause illnesses including cancer, neurological disorders, autoimmune weakness, asthma and allergies, infertility, miscarriage and child behavior disorders. Although chemicals in urethane material are required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to be tested for major health effects, the tests do not assess subtle neurological damage to the brain or effects on the a developing fetus, according to Chem-Tox.com.”

Do the bumpers ruin your sheets? Like stretch them out once the bumpers are no longer needed?

Nah. I rotate between 3 sets of sheets on my bed and don’t have an issue with stretching. They want to pop off the corners sometimes so I bought the elastic straps for under the mattress to keep that from happening
