Larry, Loscalzo, Joseph, Holland, Steven M, Langford, Carol A.: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Excellent - Great book, fast delivery Review: If you know you know; I've been buying a new edition of Harrisons every few editions for more than 40 years; it never disappoints; the writing is so clear and focused, the presentations so logically organized, it makes the arduous task of cognitive updating a joy; the two volume set weighs in at about 15 pounds, I have to mount it on a piece of plywood to put it in my lap to read in my easy chair; it is worth the weight however; maybe it's time to break the next edition up into three volumes. I'm looking forward to the publication of the "Manual", a MUCH shorter and more portable version which is small enough to bring into the clinic. But for complex or rare medical problems, where the science has really evolved since the last time I read it, and I really need to understand what is going on with a patient, there is nothing like the full two volume set.
