Usually I purchase brand name replacement products when I need parts. I’m so glad I didn’t! The Shure cord frayed and snapped and this one has no coil cord and is very strong. Like it even better than the original cord! Worth the money.

The Fail becoming the Key
I bought this cable but I didn't read that it used a Smaller jack than 3.5mm to replace the broken one on my Maono Headphones, and after that pair broke I bought some Shure ones and That cable broke, and I remembered I had this cable in my bottom drawer and it saved my entire music carrier.

Not compatible with the new “A” revisions
This cable is not compatible with the 840a (840a keying left, 840 keying right in the photo), but that’s nothing a razor blade can’t fix. With the offending plastic removed, this cable is decent, and a much more convenient length than the original. My only complaint is that it tends to transmit noise from rubbing against things straight to the left earcup, but that’s also an issue with the original.

Perfect ass the original
I was reading about other stating this chord wasn't as good or had issues. The only difference is because it's a straight chord instead of that crap curly chord that caught on everything. If you need a extension, purchase one but this 4 ft chord and product is perfect.

This cable has a great, durable feel and look to it. The connectors work perfectly with my Shure 840 headphones. I didn’t rank durability only because I have not had it for very long.
