IDEAL 33-396 Data/Voice Crimp Tool, black

Nothing to dislike! This replaced the crimper that my aging wrists can’t handle want more. I should have switched years ago.

Looks slightly weird, but much more comfortable to use than the conventional style, takes less space, and easy to get used to operating this tool. Takes about 1/4 of effort to ceimp, compared to good old one that I lost somewhere...,probably placed it on top of some surface, then, after completing work in a quality fashion, as I do, because I respect myself, or try to at least as much as possible, but you know how it is out there..., sometimes you can only do so much, at the same time, I know people vary on their opinion of where to draw the line of good enough'ness, I sometimes find myself judging those with whom I disagree on decisions they made in regard to job completion, sometimes I voice my disagreement to others......But anyway... Good tool. I like it... Has a safety i.e. locking mechanism, which is super easy to switch... May be too easy on mine actually... yet I continue having a positive outlook about this mechanical device.

Used it with no problem. Easy to store when not in use.

Spent a lot of time trying to get PoE to work and ultimately these included connectors don’t support it. The tool itself is good.

Small, compact, easily carried in my pouch, conveniently locks closed with the push of a small button, easy to use one handed tool, no annoying ratcheting, crimps perfectly, you get that satisfying clicking sound when you plug in the patch cable you just made. I'm super happy with this

Tool is good, would be nice if it had a better stripper for flat wires.

Another good and reasonably priced tool from Ideal. Works very well as a crimper. Wire cutter is OK but the stripper is a little clumsy to use. Rotate cable while stripper is closed to cut all the way around the cable jacket. Lock that keeps handle closed when not in use is a thoughtful addition.
