Panasonic KX-TGFA30B Extra Cordless Phone Handset for KX-TGF340/50/70/80 in Black (Renewed)

Took a while to get this handset to connect to my base. I followed the directions included multiple times but it would not connect. I called Amazon support and they had the seller contact me. They responded that day via e-mail. After a 3 hour e-mail dialouge back and forth, we finally figured out that i needed to deregister the handset i was trying to replace (no mention of this in the directions). Once i did this, it connected to the base right away with the directions provided. Appears to be working fine and just as good as a new one. The gentlemen i was e-mailing with was patient and worked me through the issue, but it would have been a lot less frustrating for me and taken less time if they had called me on the phone. I requested this, but it did not happen. I am guessing this is because they cannot log the info discussed when on a phone call. Anyway, works well and happy with my purchase. Recommend they put info in their directions about needing to deregister the old handset first if already have the max (6) registered to the base unit.

Ordered to replace one of the cordless handheld devices in my set. It was easy to pair and set up with the main unit. It's also worth replacing one device instead of an entire set.

The vendor, Good As New Electronics, enclosed very helpful set-up instructions with these remote handsets, so you can pair them with your main telephone -- otherwise they won't be any use. The instructions are easy to follow, but there are several steps involved and I had to do it twice to get it right. (That may say more about me than about the instructions.) Still, the whole thing was finished fairly quickly, and now everything is working exactly as promised. I waited three weeks before writing this review, to make sure no problems would turn up. So now I'm pretty confident I made the right purchase. The vendor is also available if you need extra help, which you probably won't.

Great firm behind this product (product itself is fine and works well). Package was missing batteries and without difficulties they sent right out. Nice firm to work with.

Works as new and has a very good quality!

The phone is fine, but the advertised feature, Talking Caller ID, in which the caller is announced, is missing on this phone, despite being a prominently advertised feature on Panasonic's website and Amazon's page. Contacting Panasonic was an exercise in futility: The chat agent (a real person?) at first assured me the feature was there, quoting the wrong model of phone, then assured me that the feature could be accessed by entering a code, then that the feature wasn't there (too bad for you), then telling me that I could return the phone and get a refund (which I knew). When he asked me if he could do anything else for me, I suggested that he apologize for wasting my time. Which he did. Contacting Panasonic directly has produced nought but silence.

I ordered the Panasonic phone with 2 handsets and realized after it arrived that I should have purchased the model with 3 handsets so I'd have one for the kitchen, too. Problem easily solved by ordering this extra handset. It works fine and the instructions for registering it with the original phone so that it would work with it were very easily followed. A good deal!
