Works well once properly set up. Design of blade attachment to arbor could be improved a lot beyond simple washers that do not sit squarely against the blade (flat washers against a curved blade). Also, blade depth adjustment, per user manual recommendations, is questionable; I found better results with setup outside user manual recommendations.Like made in USA feature, but unit is also fundamentally over-priced for what a person gets. If you buy the completed kit, as I did, the mortising auger bits (Forstner bits) are NOT made in USA; rather some asian country.Tool cuts very fast. Practice to get the feel and performance of the tool before cutting into stock intended for furniture use. Definitely use a strong, variable speed drill with this tool.Nice booklet of projects was included with the package.Able to make small garden tables very, very quickly.

Great design

This is not a starter kit. It comes with a book of 20 projects. Every project in the book requires a 1 1/2 tenon cutter and drill which are NOT in this kit. i am still deciding whether to send it all back or shell out more to get that 1 1/2" set which is required to build anything.

I live in Alaska with alot of spruce bark beetle kiiled spruce standing all over. Nice dry furnature. My wife and I spent many a winter nights in our garage making all kinds of things. Not cheap but well worth it. Never a problem yet.

Great set of tools. But.. You shouldn't put the sharpening system in the picture if it doesn't come with it.
