Q: Can this be used with light off?

Hi Kellee: The answer to your question is "Yes, this device can be used with the light off." The left button controls the mist, and the right button controls the light; however, if you turn on the mist and the water is low, the waterless shut off function will dominate and turn both off. Also, while you can turn on mist without turning on the LED light function, there is still a small timer indicator that will be on as shown on the bottom of the device. So, to further clarify, you can use the device with LED function off, but it won't be pitch dark due to the timer indicator light.

Q: What material is the water tank made from?

The water tank is made of pp plastic material; basically, just like everyone else. It is because the material is more sturdy and is better for water and essential oils. There is a ultrasonic plate in the middle of the watertank, you could use a q—tip to clean of the essential oil residue once awhile to ensure fine mist production.

Q: What is the “auto” button for and how long does it stay on?

You can set the auto from one hour to five
