A chalk line is a very simple tool that performs an essential task: it provides a perfectly straight line that is temporary to almost permanent. The material cost to do this essential task this is very reasonable. In fact, once you own the reel, it’s almost free. At Keson, we’ve taken the time to learn a lot about chalk line reels from end-users. As the only US manufacturer of chalk and chalk line reels, we are in a unique position to interact and respond with the people who build in and build up our communities. These builders have told us a lot about what’s important in a chalk line reel, and what works and what doesn’t. We continuously add to and improve our chalk and chalk line reels based on the feedback from end-users. Somewhere between a felt-tip marker and a chisel tip marker, lies line left by our bold string. This string is more often used in higher traffi c areas and outdoors.

Review: Nice fat chalk line - This chalk line is nice a fat. I would not use it if you are making cabinets, but for construction type use, it is great.
Review: Reliable (buy it for life item) - Never fails, no gears no springs, just straight reel to line. Three other chalk lines have failed and this one is yet to jam. Pretty thick chalk line, leaks but not as much as other expensive 100ft chalk lines with the felt. If you need something reliable that will never get stuck on you and snaps thick lines this is the way to go. Only wished the nub on the arm was a little bigger. Design wise the triangle tip let you get into tight spots. Definitely would buy again has saved me when the gimmicky geared lines fail. Only fail point might be the string but that’s replaceable, even better if you use Kevlar.

This chalk line is nice a fat. I would not use it if you are making cabinets, but for construction type use, it is great.

Never fails, no gears no springs, just straight reel to line. Three other chalk lines have failed and this one is yet to jam. Pretty thick chalk line, leaks but not as much as other expensive 100ft chalk lines with the felt. Kenson chalk reel line it’s the best by far! I do roofing work and I need a bold line easy to see for continuous work I have this reel for almost 3year and it’s been working perfectly Keep on mind this is an extremely bold line ! Good value, the best quality I ordered 4of this kenson chalk line and all of them works perfectly since day 1!! Way better than any Milwaukee,dewalt,tajima (don’t last on me) Update: after 11 months since my review still no problem with this chalk reel HANDS DOWN FOR THIS KENSON PRODUCT!
