Review: Tombstone works well - Quality and performance is as expected. This was a long awaited upgrade from a wire feed. I really needed something that could reliably tackle thicker, heavier projects here on our farm. This has already been used to successfully repair a 15' batwing frame for a tractor. Review: This welder has perhaps the best reputation of any - This welder has perhaps the best reputation of any, and has been around for a long while. They're durable, dependable, and work well. I turned mine to a scratch start TIG by simply buying a $15 adapter the stinger clamps on. Just turn this welder to straight polarity, and clamp the stinger to this inline adapter--which is in the middle of your gas line for a TIG torch connected to a pressure regulator atop an argon tank. The machine isn't altered in any way, and you can run nice beads considering you have no foot or thumb control. If you can find a thumb control which will close as a throttle, the gas line, then you have a legitimate TIG welder. I use the stick DCEP mode for many things.

Not Lincoln’s fault but it was with the same product twice.
I had faith in this welder as i’ve Used it before and wanted to buy one of my own but after $700 and a month of waiting I gave amazon 2 chances to bring me a welder that wasn’t beat up, punctured, cords cut, dials broken and parts pre-damaged. It’s a great welder so I bought it from some place else besides Amazon. So be warned if you purchase this through Amazon it may show up in poor condition.

good welder for the money
able to do a lot of different settings for the various types of rods. The cheaper ones seem to only do AC but this does both. Leads are only about 7' and could stand to be a bit longer but thats the only negative.

Good but bad
Welder works fine but the condition it arrived in was rough. It had been through the mill as it were. I don’t think I would use the supplier again
