The colour you see in my photos is 2 weeks of alternate-day shampooing AFTER I coloured my hair blue. AND I used that on my coloured hair (I keep colouring my hair jet black every 3 months because I love jet black hair). So every time I wanted to use the blue colour, I bleached the ends first as you can see in the 3rd photo, which didn’t make it completely blonde as I had used Black previously. Still I ended up getting this rich turquoise colour! So it will work much better on uncoloured/virgin hair. It stains your clothes, skin and stethoscope etc permanently even weeks after you use the colour,,, so dress accordingly, not to spoil ur expensive clothes (or even ur light-coloured pillow cases for that matter!). As they mentioned, it is semi-permanent. Without a touch-up, on my naturally-straight slightly-oily hair it lasts for 2months each time, after which it turns greenish and finally greenish brown after 4 months or so. It definitely neutralised the yellow tones in his hair and left it pretty close to platinum blonde. We then went in with Manic Panic Electric Pink Pussycat with fantastic results! Followed the instructions on the box closely. This will NOT work if you have strong yellow tones in your hair after bleaching. Be patient and do another round of bleach, then use this. This will also not work at all for orange tones - you are better off toning those with repeated applications of blue colour / blue shampoo. General rule - purple neutralises yellow; blue neutralizes orange. We applied the toner to hair that had been washed and dried after bleaching. Left it in for around 45 minutes then rinsed out. Make sure you saturate the hair with the toner for best results - it's hard to gauge since it's a pale colour on pale hair but just go in with more than you think you need and you should hit the right amount :D Unfortunately toners like Wella's colour charm series aren't available that easily in India so this is what we need to make do with. Thanks.** A: The turquoise is the most vibrant of the colors and it lasts the longest by far. You do not need to lighten darker hair but it will only tint over whatever color you have so if you want a bright turquoise result you'll need to lighten. I have ginger hair and I lighten my tips only and ombré the turquoise in. It's pretty easy to do. Just search you tube for bleach ombré tutorials. **Q: Is this permanent dye? How long does the color last, roughly?** A: It depends on your hair type, and how you treat your hair. For me, my colours last until I want to change them (roughly 3-6 months). If you blow dry your hair, or use styling products, or are in the sun frequently, the colour will last a shorter amount of time. If you want to extend the colour, wash in cold water (yeah, I know. eek!), avoid previously mentioned things, and add a little colour to your conditioner. If you need to get the colour out, you can wash in very warm water with a clarifying shampoo, a mixture of dawn soap and baking soda, or use a soap cap. (This involves a little bleach, so only do this if you really need to get it out.) **Q: I'm going for a light pink, what color would work best for dirty blonde? do i have to bleach it?** A: I would go with the cotton candy over this, if you want a light color. Then I used this product to colour my bleached hair. It looked amazing for about 3 weeks but didn't stick very well to my hair. Too much color washes out with every hairwash.. need to be careful to not let the blue flow into your skin while bathing because it turns everything blue! Fingernails will be blue after a hairwash. The colour was beautiful. It looked like a bright lovely stunning electric royal blue during the first 2 weeks but by the end of the third week it started to fade out into a dull, almost sky blue. (I washed my hair 5-6 times during these 3weeks) This product is super great if you need to color your hair for an event or something but you should probably buy one that is more long lasting if you want the colour to be brilliant after 3weeks or more.. if you want a long lasting ink-blue colour for your hair I'd recommend using this and then by the 3rd or 4th week colour it with a purple hair color.
