Best Investment !!
I'm a photographer and I can say this lens is awesome ., If you're planning to buy this lens go for it . PS The only problems with this lens are 1) Auto Focus is decent on my canon M50 but if you pan to use on DSLRs it is terrible (if your camera doesn't have dual pixel af ,the Auto Focus this lens is WORSE ) . . 2 years later This is my favorite lens in my arsenal . But I wouldn't recommend this at 8k . Back in 2019 I bought this at 4,800 . At 8k I'd recommend you buy Canon's Nifty Fifty 50mm F1.8

HOBBYIST'S VIEWPOINT
I'am a small time photography hobbyist. I went for purchase of this lens for my Canon M 100. As always (and like most of us), I did a lot of online research by going through articles /videos by experts before making a decision. Online reviews give a good insight, but at the same time, do create doubts in the mind about which equipment to finally pick. The reason for this probably is that these reviews are covered by experts in the field and are are aimed at professional photographers. So, keeping it simple for fellow hobbyists, after using this lens with an adapter on my 'M' camera, I çan say that its a Great lens, fun shooting with, fantastic portraits, bright photos in all light conditions. If you have been able to do your research, and this is one in your shortlisted lenses, you will not regret adding Yongnuo YN 50mm F1.8 II to your bag (especially so if you are moving on from your kit lenses) A word for the purchase experience from Amazon. It was done in quick time, responsive retailer, kept updated at all times from Order to Delivery. A 'BANG for the BUCK' deal!

No bad for the price, the version II is better based on experienced users
Im really unsure about the brand isn’t that reliable name; so I did a bit of research on the earlier 50mm and this f1.8 ii ; trust me it’s hard plastic looks strong enough & lighter looks good elegant in black, the white special edition has its own grace. I did not do a test shoot Yet, this review is only based on my first impression; testing it’s working functionality .. focus noise is quieter - I don’t know about it’s AF noise while video capture .. what I love the most is it’s a bigger lens for a nifty fifty I’m giving 4.5* based on the seller and Amazons quick delivery managed sending a new boxed ex factory lens fresh & hot from the oven

Cheaper lens, Cheaper output.
Focus hunting is a big problem for stills. Auto focus in video mode is very noisy, even captured in the recorded videos. Prefer canon STM version for this prime lens, it's really appreciated. At F/1.8, captured image is pretty soft (real bad focus), at f2.8 and above, sharp images are captured. However at f1.8, potrait captured from dist of 3 to 4 mts (subject-camera) is awesome, great blurry background. Bokeh captured is awesome at f1.8 to F2.8, so chose accordingly.

Good product but.
There is some kind of auto focus issue, but not ecery time , but sometimes. Athorewise the product is fantastic in my opinion. The F1.8 fills amazing and cinematic look in every image. Over all the product is value for mony. You can definitely go for it. Thankyou.
