SECURITY ANALYSIS, 6TH EDN

i just received this book, i was very much confused whether to buy it or not because of some negetive comment stated that this newest edition does not contain the authentic version of the oldest one when published on 1934. may parts are ommited delleted and all blah blah by some of amazon customers and they said it just provided a CD, thats it?? We are now in 2020 my dear frineds. the basics are still intact of investing and anlysis with the view of benjamin graham but in modern point of view ananlysed by many recent experts. few parts may be removed from this book as per neccessity of our modern age. nothing wrong in it. this book is still a thick huge knowledge machine and the double dhamka is you will get a CD of this book's 1940 edition with page of 895, that is the authentic copy but in pdf format. can you imagine???? in this cost you are getting the modern view point of security analysis and the authentic oldest and unchanged version too. if somebody wants the 1940 hardcopy version they can pay 4500Rs atleast also available in amazon.

This is a timeless classic. The principles contained in this book have stood the test of time. If you are a serious long-term investor, you have to read this. There's no getting around it. It took me more than 2 months to complete this book and I keep referring to this book from time to time. A few things to remember from Ben Graham: • Intrinsic value is not a fixed number. It keeps changing. • For the proper value to be determined, there must be some stability in the earnings. • Be careful of the stocks that not easily recognized by the market. • Mean reversion is more common that anyone thinks. • Change is something that cannot be factored in, but to watch out for. • Look for business stability not just in the financial numbers, but also in its quality. • Focus on what the asset can generate and not for how much it can be sold for in future. • Price is not the value, it’s your due diligence. • Even good stocks can be bad investments if you pay too high a price for it. • Always consider recent changes in the business - are they moving it forward or pushing it backward.

Very well written with some really good insights from new age investors.If one is a student of stock market then this book is a must read for all practical purposes. One difficulty with this book though is that most of the investing world today doesn’t agree with all philosophies of Graham and Dodd Especially with fast growing companies.Many such companies wouldn’t have been part of Graham’s pick had he been alive in this era.Hence,One must be wise to understand the basic necessities for identifying good companies to invest.

Considered as the "bible of investing" by many - true to its name it offers one of the best financial textbooks worldwide(has case studies patterns and formula) and is recommended by warren buffet himself. This was a(and might still be now) textbook in Columbia university when warren buffet himself studied in there. However the terminology and content is long and tough to understand, which might test the patience and internet skills of some of the aspiring investors like me, its still worth the buy. The CD that comes along with the book is VERY disappointing and only contains the pdf of the second edition of the book. Was hoping for some bonus content but no luck. Anyways you need to have an open mind and a good analytical skill to understand this book, or as with my case the internet is your friend.

We know this is the best book for investors...Please Note: book having additional 200 pages of commentary by excluding 11 chapters from the 2nd edition of the security analysis... so you have to take printout of chapter 9,11,12,13,14,20,25,30,35,36,46 ( 150 pages ) and appendix (150 pages) which are given in CD...Total 300 pages you have to take printout ,if you do so you have full copy of 2nd edition along with 200 pages additional commentary which are really useful. It’s a great of product I receive. Best of guide line for each and every investor to do better work. So, I subsequently put checking for each chapter page wrote. But, I was getting to more learning for each chapter golden rules for the investment policy. So, it’s matter things I’m to do learn and then become a great desire to work for investment. A best of bible book for investment time.

Many Chapters are missing. They are present in the index but when you turn the page, you can find many chapters are missing from the book. At the time of purchase in the product description it was showing the book has 818 pages but originally it consists of 700+ pages.

It is a very classical book about investment, even though nowadays many traders focus on quantitative trading. The theory of value investment will not perish from the earth forever!

Even prior to ordering this book, I didnt have a doubt in that the content would be solid and foundation forming. Definitely recommend, although would suggest reading intelligent investor first.
