Pour into greased baking dish and set aside. In a medium bowl add; butter, flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Use the back of a large fork to press mixture until pebble sized pieces are formed. In a separate bowl mix; milk and oil together before adding to pebbled pieces, and mix just until all is moistened. Do not over mix, please. Drop the batter onto the fruit mixture forming six separate mounds. Sprinkle with the remaining teaspoon of sugar on top of mounds. Bake for 30 minutes, or until fruit is bubbly and tops of mounds are light golden brown. Let stand for 7-10 minutes to cool before serving. Also, makes a great Strawberry-Guava Lemonade! Helpful Note: freeze any unused portions unless you plan on making something within a couple of days. Tasty and Versatile Treat! Lastly, thank you to MARKET EXPRESS for fantastic service!
Review: Perfect flavor if cut with hot water. - Tastes exactly like my childhood memories of ripe, ready to drop guavas in Africa. I cut a package into small cubes and combine with 3/4 cup of water in a jar. Heat in microwave until it starts to bubble, let it heat soak for a few minutes, then blend into a smooth paste with a table knife. Besides jam, makes a great topping on yogurt, and a lovely snack mixed equal parts with peanut butter. The flavor is much better when thinned out, and has a strong flavor with the perfect grittyness of my memories.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The descriptions states i should received 3 packs but i only received one! would i get the others separately?**
A: I had the same situation: only one got delivered about a week ago. I chatted with Amazon and they refunded the money.

**Q: I need fresh guava for hot tea. I cannot find it anywhere. Could you boil this to make a tea?**
A: Dear Costumer,
No, this product cannot be boiled for use as a tea. If you can check our online store late today or tomorrow we will try to have available guava leaves tea, and if possible the fruit to sell with direct shipping from us to our Amazon's costumer if allowed. **Q: Can you freeze the Guva paste after it is opened?**
A: I have never tried freezing it after opening, but it stores very well for a long time unfrozen in the fridge. I put the unused portion in a zip-lock bag and use it for months. The team at Jamapchi thanks you for your interest in this product.

**Q: why has to have the dammed sugar? I was disappointed, was too sweet, need something more natural**
A: They’re not using the most ripe guavas so sugar is required. We traditionally eat it with a slice of cream or preferably authentic Cuban cheese to balance out the flavor

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great flavor, just like Porto's!
*by Y***C on April 17, 2020*

I was looking for some guava paste to try and make my own guava cheese strudels like from Porto's Bakery. This guava pastry tastes just like the ones they use in the Porto's guava and guava cheese pastries and it tastes delicious as a spread too. I still have some cheese rolls and guava cheese strudels I had bought a few days ago from Porto's so what I do is cut up a slice of the guava paste and spread it inside the cheese roll and toast it up in the toaster oven for a few minutes. Now I have my own guava cheese roll with a more generous amount of guava paste than what you can get at Porto's. So good, yum! The paste is very thick so you will have to cut it with a knife into thin slices. I usually place the cut up slices in a bowl and nuke it for a few seconds to soften them first, then I just spread it on my bagel, toast, or whatever you fancy. I even mixed it with my fresh avocado. Great tasting guava paste. Glad I found this on Amazon. I hope each block (comes in 3 separate blocks of pastes) lasts awhile since I can only eat a little bit at a time. Highly recommend this product.
