Good quality, serves the purpose and looks good
These are good quality clay pebbles. Make sure you wash rinse them couple of time and soak in plain water overnight before use for best results (longer the better). Some pieces were broken, but still usable. Reusable after rinsing again for next batch of plants. I use diluted hydrogen peroxide to clean them. Good purchase. The other variant made using Fly ash are much lighter, cheaper but leave residue. This one doesn't leave any residue but heavier and aesthetically better looking , so good for bigger plants or for circulating hydroponic system

Good hydroston bigger and more regular in term of size
This clay pebbles are bigger and more regular in size that the common hydroston easier to find. They are also not floating which is a very good thing in a hydroponic system where the water rise ( maree system ).I've noticed a little less degree of fixation of the roots of my plants to the pebbles, so I think a mixt of the 2 kinds of hydroston can give best results in hydroponic system.

Low inferior quality Leca clay balls made of cement
These are low quality leca clay balls coated with clay to display these balls as clay balls. when you break them to test the balls are made of cement inside and coated with clay to show as if they are genuine leca clay balls. so when you add them in planters instead giving benefits to plants they are damaging to plants because these balls will neither hold any water or moisture nor creat any aeration in the root zone since they are made of cement. So buyers please be aware don't fall in prey like me. I feel cheated and these so called clay balls does not serve the purpose henceforth I will not recommend anyone buying this so called leca clay balls.
