Jiu jitsu headgear. Does its job.
Been using for about 2 months now. It does its job and seems to hold up fine. Only complaint is the velcro chin strap. Seems like they could have come up with a better design than velcro on the skin where it is going to be pulled and mashed, but at least my ears stopped swelling. I'm pleased and would purchase again. It does muffle sound a bit so I leave it off during instructional portion of class and put it on for rolling. 2 year update: still rolling 2-3 times per week and still have this same piece. It has frayed in a few places but still works great and has heald up extremely well and is still comfortable on head and ears.

Stays on, if fit correctly. Good for BJJ (training partners no complaints)
At first I didn't think it stays on, but does well once straps are properly adjusted (and I took off the chin pad). It fits snug, so not exactly "comfortable" but you want it to stay on and not move too much. Again, it's snug, and a bit small. I have larger than average size head, a lot of hair, and works well. I imagine someone with *huge* head may want something bigger. But good for 80%+ of men's grapplers. Unlike traditional wrestling gear with hard plastic and places for fingers to get caught, this is great for BJJ. Padding over the ear cup is well designed. Have only been using for a few weeks, so not sure how long it lasts but if it wears out I'll buy again. Best product in this space for BJJ that I've had and tried a few.

Great Jiu-Jitsu Headgear
Years ago, my right ear got injured in a Brazilian jiu-jitsu class and developed a hematoma. It went untreated (a mistake, by the way), and developed into a small cauliflower. The good news is it's hardly noticeable, the bad news is that now unless I use headgear, my right ear swells and itches after every class. It is slowly worsening the cauliflower as well. So I've turned to headgear. All told, I've used a Cliff Keen low profile plastic headgear, a neoprene head "wrap" made by a small jiu-jitsu products company, and this Matman Ultra Soft Wrestling headgear. After using each for a few months, there's no comparison--the Matman is unquestionably the best. The Cliff Keen protected my ears and was low profile, but it was hard plastic and was hard on my partners and hard on me when it would get twisted or caught in something. The neoprene head "wrap" was easy on me and my partners and the lowest profile of all, but without any kind of chin strap it came off easily (at least once per roll), meaning I had to decide whether to let my ears go unprotected or stop the action so I could put it back on. The Matman headgear has hard plastic ear cups so it protects my ears and is fairly low profile. But it's also covered on the inside AND the outside in a soft fabric, making it easy on my partners and me. Additionally, the two head straps are made of a neoprene-like material that gives a little stretch, meaning that the headgear rarely causes me any pain or problems even if it does get twisted or caught on something. You can actually almost forget it's even on. I throw it in the washing machine with my gi after every class, and hang it to air dry afterwards. So it's always clean. My only complaint (and the reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is that the velcro on the chin strap isn't so great. I've yet to have it fall off or get pulled off in training, but I'm always a little dubious about just how weak the hold is below my chin. Perhaps an unjustified concern, but I'd still like to see a more robust velcro under my chin. I'm considering buying a few more of these just to have them in the future when my current one wears out. Great product.

Great headgear for jiu jitsu at a great price
I broke the chinstrap on my grapplearts headgear at jiu jitsu, and when I went to reorder it, I found that the price had increased. And so I decided to give this cheaper one a try, because from the pictures, the chinstrap looked like it was more securely attached (more accurately, I'm talking about the ring that the chinstrap loops through). I wanted to get this soft style again, because it seemed better for my training partners. Also, I'm worried that the bands on the other styles of headgears will get caught on fingers and hands. That being said, I've rolled with people wearing other kinds of headgear without any problems, but I don't do a lot of guillotines or darces. This headgear is very similar to the grapplearts headgear, and the chinstrap is more secure. It's maybe a little less comfortable as others have mentioned because of the velcro facing your hair and under the chin. Sometimes my hair gets caught in the velcro, but it's not a big deal.

Good for your ears; rough on your chin
This product works as designed, and protects my ears well during BJJ. I'm recovering from a nasty cauliflower ear, and these don't get too much in the way. The one main drawback is the very uncomfortable chinstrap. It is made from a very stiff, rough material with sharp edges. Would be a four star product minus this fact.

Great for BJJ
I've been using this daily for grappling since I got it, and plan on getting a second one. So far no obvious durability concerns, but time will tell. It protects my ears well, and I find it very comfortable. I had seen other reviews with significant concerns about comfort, namely the chin-strap and the velcro pieces that faces inward to your skin. Neither of these have ended up bothering me. If you wear it as shown in the product pictures, the back and top straps will be on your hair, and even my short hair has prevented me from really feeling any velcro at all. I could see it maybe being a problem if you're bald. Otherwise, the chin strap is bit uncomfortable just because it's a tight strap under my jaw, but that seems unavoidable. The material itself is rough but doesnt bother me for whatever reason. YMMV. Of note: you obviously have to wash these bad boys after use. The material basically soaks up sweat, and for the love of god don't go roll with that again until you've washed it. I simply throw it in the washer with my gi, and it air-dries very quickly. Only real complaints are that you look like a dork wearing it, and it makes it harder to hear. All as expected. Better than cauliflower ear.

I train BJJ, bought first the Venum headgear which also highly promoted here and then this one. Would go for this one any day. Main advantage of this one: It does not slip around on your head during intense rolling session. You don't even have to tie it that tight (like the venum one) to make it stick where it should be during your rolling session. I got a relatively small head, short hair, but you can adjust in in the back, the front and on the bottom. Can definitely recommend it.

I’ve wrestled for years. This headgear is unusable-the neck/chin strap won’t secure. I returned it within the window. The seller initially refused delivery; after the deadline passed, they accepted the parcel and then claimed the return period had expired. I have neither the item nor a refund. Do not recommend.

Using this for jiu jitsu, it's working to save his ears even though it looks a bit goofy. Before he had this, he was getting a bit of cauliflower ear, but not anymore. Good quality. I'd say this is a necessity for any type of wrestling or sparring.

First pair was wearing out so this is my second. Arrived in good shape and on time. Straps are pretty secure and the overall fit is comfortable. Ear cups are sturdy but the material outside is soft and gives a little under pressure, so you won't have to worry too much about leaving your training partners with nasty abrasions or bruises.
