A Must Have For Any Outdoor Trip
Just got back from a hike to Hurricane Deck in Los Padres National Forest. It was my first real backpacking trip and I learned a lot about what I need to be prepared in the wilderness. Out of all of the gear I brought with me, I cannot endorse this headband enough, as ridiculous as that may sound to heap this much praise on a stretchy piece of fabric. The minute we hit strong winds, I was able to bring this down to cover my face. Throughout the entire trip, it served me as a neck gaiter in the rain, a headband in the heat, and a face cover for my mouth and nose at night when I was freezing. I was really impressed at the versatility of this product and would recommend it to anyone heading into the outdoors. It's thin and light and perfect, whether it's for a morning jog or heading to the wilderness. Definitely happy with this product.

A reusable alternative to a face mask.
Initially, I thought the produce was just ok. I bought it for COVID-19. As I was trying other products however, this product shined the most. This neck gaiter is made out of a stretchy cotton like material. It is easier to breath than the nylon variety. It is one continuous tube without any seams. I can rotate it so I can breath on a different area of the cloth. The other brand had a seam. I can not rotate the neck gaiter so freely or flip the cloth inside out. Face masks will expire and has to be discarded. I can hand wash or machine wash the neck gaiter at the end of the day and it will be ready to use the next day The best way I use this is to fold the cloth in half to create two layers for better protection. When not in use, I leave it on my neck or twist and fold it in a way that it will fit on my wrist or you can fold and put it in your pocket.

Just a tad too thin
Cheap, does what it's meant to do and has multiple ways to wear it. Only 4 stars because its not as thick as you may think it is. The material is just another thin layer of clothing at most and when I say thin I mean thicker than panty hoes but thinner than leggings. We wore out on a night of squidding by the pier which helped but whenever a breeze hit you could def feel the chills. I wouldn't wear this out to the mountains during the winter unless you plan on wearing it as an extra layer beneath a hat and a hoodie which kind of defeats the purpose of it. It feels good on your skin though.

Migraine Sufferer's Best Friend
I have been dealing with chronic migraines with aura since I was in my early teens. If I do not intervene when a migraine starts; it could last for days, weeks, or even months. Last fall, my go to medication for intervention stopped working. My neurologist tried to find a new one that I could tolerate, and that would work. We tried several different medications over the course of a few months. Nothing was working. My migraines started lasting longer and longer each time, breaking only after weeks of medication. In January, I woke up with a migraine that was a lot worse than most of the ones I'd had before. Unlike the others, this one didn't finally go away after a few weeks of medication. It persisted, grew worse, and resisted any attempt at treatment. Inflammation plays a large role in chronic migraines. My neurologist suggested Botox as a treatment, but it was taking weeks to get insurance approval. In the meantime, he suggested that I used cold therapy to alleviate some of the pain. I had a few smaller ice packs leftover from a wisdom teeth removal a few years ago, and found that they worked well when pressed against each of my trigger points (two at base of head, two right above my temples). But trying to keep them in place was impossible. I improvised for a while by using an old headband, but it wasn't really big enough to hold them properly. Luckily, the botox approval came through, and I was able to start the treatment. The botox has helped to significantly reduce the intensity of the pain and my other symptoms. But the ice packs still come in handy on the rare days that the pain gets out of control. Looking for a better way to keep them in place when I do use them, I ordered one of these headbands to try. I have used it twice this week already, and it works wonderfully. It is just tight enough to hold the packs on my head and provide a little pressure, but not tight enough to be uncomfortable. I have started telling everybody I know to get one of these and a few small ice packs, and to keep them on hand for any time they get a headache. I go back into the neurologist for a check up next week, and I plan on telling him too. More migraine sufferers need to try this. It's incredibly effective and affordable; and, unlike other treatments, it has no side effects. If anybody is interested in trying this, here is a link to ice packs like the ones I use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XM1JI48?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01

Versatile, but too thin fabric to be fully protective
This Tough Headband product is nothing more and nothing less than a tubular piece of thin polyester. It can be used as a bandana or neck gaiter, but it's so thin (you can see in the picture it's see through) that it doesn't act as a face mask, especially one intended to protect during a pandemic. I have initially purchased this product as a multipurpose neck gaiter that can easily double as face covering during my walks and hikes. But the material is so thin, humidity and droplets would definitely go through easily. Also, for my small female head it's too loose, and would slowly fall during movement. I guess I could fold the material 2-3 times to make it more protective, but it defeats the purpose of having a neck gaiter I can pull quickly up when I pass fellow hikers on narrow trails. Since it's so thin, it's quite breathable, but it provides a low wind resistance and I doubt it provides more sun protection than the fact you are covering your face with a cloth. Otherwise, it's a versatile headpiece. It makes a nice headband, a little bit bulky, but stays put even during runs, keeping my hair put. It makes a good neck gaiter for mildly cold weather; which is great since I live in California and it doesn't get cold enough for a thicker scarf. It's actually the perfect size to make a thin balaclava or hood out of it. The material is comfortable, not rough on the skin, but I wouldn't call it necessarily soft. The seams are low profile, so they won't rub against the skin and aren't visible in a visually unpleasing way. The disadvantage is that the seams won't provide enough grip to stay in place. I have washed and dried this piece of cloth multiple times with my workout clothes, and it doesn't show any signs of wear and tear yet. It didn't shrink in the drier. It doesn't show any signs of pilling yet. In the end it isn't the best value for the money and it's not necessarily what I expected, but in the end I get my use out of this product.

12 in 1 perfection for work, and sports.
I'm giving an honest opinion review based on my personal experience using this, and one of the printed headbands. I bought this for a few reasons. Primarily for work, to use as a headband or hair cover to keep my hat from messing up and causing hair thinning as it moved. The secondary reason, was to keep met face warm when I'm in the walk-in freezer, for a few hours, and lastly, since December was so close, I decided on waiting to review till I had a chance to wear it out in colder weather, or for one day of snowboarding. The material is soft and somewhat stretchy, but can be tight on thicker heads, tightening veins, so if you have a bigger head and don't use this for ski mask or most other stretched uses, buy a printed one, which will be looser and easier to wear. The headband in face cowl, balaclava, and neck scarf, stayed warm, and kept me going in a freezer at temps of -2 degrees for 4-5 hour shifts so I can say I'm happy for that, plus outside the freezer, it keeps my hair down, and from rubbing against my work hat. Testing it for 5 hours on a smaller ski/snowboarding hill, which at speed, top to bottom is about 25 seconds, it kept my face warm, as a balaclava, and had some length to cover my neck some too! Overall, if your into outdoor sports, work in cold environments, or want a different stylish look, then look into getting one of these headbands, especially for the current sale price! Pros: warm, long, flexible, multi use, multi modes of use, stylish, and great for a car emergency kit in colder weather as well. Come: somewhat tight, and can be tricky to convert to different uses at times.

Bought one, came back and bought 2 more
Bought one of these in the summer and used it on my bald head while cycling with a helmet. Did the job perfectly, keeping the sun off of my head through the slates of the helmet and keeping sweat from running into my eyes. I put it in my jeans pocket for several reasons. 1. To have on hand it i need to brush any sweat off. 2. To keep my keys and chap stick from falling out my pocket. 3. Emergency handkerchief if desperate. 4. If it's really cold and I don't have a hat, I have this in my pocket... being bald means your head gets a lot colder more often. I kept it in my pocket for over 9 months and it has stood the test of time, handled keys being dragged in and out past it hundred of times, no tears, no marks... it's really good material. Just had 7 inches of snow fall... I put one in my snow jacket and had to clear snow from cars and driveway for 3 hours. I had a hat on, but my neck was cold.. rather than use a scarf, I used one of these and it was perfect, even too warm at times, especially if you use it to cover your mouth as well. Awesome product, I will not use any other kind. This is a must have, everyday carry for me.

Great for my use
I really enjoy this thing. It's has the ability to keep the sun off my neck and face when I'm at the lake, and keep my neck and face warm when it's cool out. I live in the south so it doesn't get too cold here. When I first received it, I was kind of skeptical because it was thin. It is rather surprising though. That being said, I probably wouldn't recommend it for extreme cold weather climates. The coldest I wore it was 30 degrees with a wind chill making it feel like 19. I felt the cool air around my mouth and nose, because of air flow when I breathe, but my neck and cheeks were still comfortable. After it's all said and done, I'm glad I made this purchase.
