Eywamage Brown Bark Flameless Pillar Candles with Remote, Farmhouse Battery Operated LED Wood Candles Set of 3

Bought these for my sister one year for Christmas because she loved the ones she saw at pottery barn (but one solo candle was like $100!). So found these and they could be a dupe they’re so similar!

So cute and made well. Looks like a real tree bark. Works well in a lantern. I recommend highly. Bright light. Remote with timer included.

There was no remote ....this was a gift so very disappointing. Had to send back for a new one.

If you need flameless, mildly customizable candles (set to "flicker" or "not flicker", with dimming options) and have $30 burning a hole in your pocket, these are the gadgets for you. Of course the question of whether or not something can simultaneously be a "candle" and "flameless" is one that philosophers will undoubtedly debate for centuries moving forward.... Overall, I think these are a touch overprice ($10/candle?), and I suppose that since they take size C batteries they'll last for a while, but that also means they're not just $10/candle, they're $10/candle plus two C batteries per candle. And that's more than I need to spend for something that I presumably can't even light on fire. I also don't know that I need a remote with my candles, but again, if you're the type that looks at a candle and thinks "I want that to be different and it's all the way across the room [SIGH]", then this is the candle set for you. Right out of the box everything works well and does exactly what it promises, so full points there.

The three candles in this set are graduated sizes of plastic. The description indicates that these candles are wrapped with real pine bark, but in fact, it is plastic that is ridged and painted to look like pine bark. The flat top of the candle does feel and look like wax and the flame has a realistic flame appearance. The included remote controls various aspects of the light. The candle can be made to flicker or to have a steady light; to be dimmer or brighter. There is also a timer for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours of sustained light. The candles are attractive, but I was disappointed that the exterior is not real bark as indicated. Also, the description did not say that the C batteries were not included. One of the half dozen pictures did have a small note at the top that said "batteries not included."
