Heavy Duty
Good quality, heavy-duty winch. Had to replace an old, corroded winch on one of my trailers and it was this exact make and model. Pretty much a plug-n-play for my set up.

Wrong winch.
The photo and description are for the winch that I wanted. However, the winch catalog number is incorrect [K15500101]. The actual brake winch catalog number, to match the photo and description, is KX15500101 [per the Fulton factory tech guy]. The "X" in the cat # is important. Addition note: I played with the winch, and it does brake both ways; but it does not match the photo, and it is not two speed as listed. So far, very confusing to me. It appears that the winch will work for my purpose. I was going to send it back, but I may keep it. Pending actual use, I might give it 4 or 5 star rating if it had been advertised correctly. It looks sturdy enough to do the job.

Great with a "no mistake brake"
Replaced my old crank-up tower crummy winch with this one. Great with a "no mistake brake". On my old winch if you accidentally slipped off the crank the whole thing came crashing down. No way that can happen with this model. You definitely have to apply some cranking pressure to bring the load down. Excellent machine.

replaces circa 1980 winch model
I needed a replacement for a 1980 boat swing keel winch. The new one fit the footprint of the existing one although the shafts stick out just a little more. Same orientation, same mounting holes, etc. Price was about 1/2 of a new one. Hard to beat

It is well constructed and has an ingenious braking design.
This is an exact replacement for a winch that I use to hoist up a shortwave tower. It is well constructed and has an ingenious braking design.

Great product
This was a relacement for a 20 year old winch. It is much better than the one it replaced. The cable capacity is greater and the ease of cranking makes it a pleasure to use.
