Big upgrade from stock, install was (fairly) easy
Overall a great upgrade from stock. Replaced the stock Ford bump stops with SumoSprings (sir-121-54). Not a hard install, about 1 hour. Helps with the swaying boat issues when turning and hitting a dip and windy driving. Left .5" gap of space as per the instructions, so no lift when empty but won’t dip when loaded. You need a decent jack and lift it from the back (not the side), wheels don’t have to come off. Chock the front wheels and use jacks for safety. Measure the stock distance from the top to the bottom of the Frame so you can leave about .5” to 1” of space (as in my photo). Install when the coach has an empty water tank. From there twist the factory ones off by hand and a 13mm to take off the top bolt. Then install the new bump stops with a 17mm bolt that is included. As long as you have the tools it’s easy. about 60-90 mins. there are a few youtube videos that help

Great upgrade to our Ford Transit 350 HD RV.
Put these on my Ford Transit 350 HD RV. They were very easy to install and make a big difference in the ride and handling. Be safe when jacking up the RV. Jack it up as high as possible to the point the wheel starts to leave the ground. You will need that space to fit your socket extensions and to remove them.

Immediate improvement
I have a 2019 Ford Transit 250 extended HR with a lift (Camper Van). It sat high and kind swayed on turns a bit, so I just added these Sumo springs, based on an internet and youtube search. I noticed and immediate improvement on my first drive with it, I am about to embark on a 5000 mile, 3 week road trip. I will see if I will add any to the front suspension also. I would recommend over the stock ones. It took me 1 hour to install both, with a floorjack in my driveway. Easy install, no problems or setbacks. I used both spacers that it came with.

Vehicle drives much better handles much better well worth it
I first bought these as they were highly recommended for my Mercedes class C RV I just upgraded and got a better RV. It’s an all-wheel-drive transit 3500. I put these on. It’s a all-wheel-drive transit 3500. I put these on. I drove about 80 miles to Saint Augustine camp for a week got back in I think they had settled in or the weight had really did something cause the ride on the way home was literally four times better than it was and of course coming out of driveways or parking lot you don’t get any of that roll

Rebranded
Rebranded Chinese, just get the unbranded ones 30-50 usd... Exactly the same material. Don't fall for this, too expensive for a piece of Urethane.

Big difference in stability
Got these for a Ford transit 350 dually. Replacement for the factory bump stops. Big difference in cornering. Pretty straight forward mounting with a little difficulty.

Quick and easy install
These are easy to install on a Ford Transit Van. It can be done without climbing under the van. After jacking up the van from the frame, not the axle, you can reach over the tire and do the installation. Follow the instructions from Sumo and it is easy. You will need two metric sockets, a socket wrench, and a socket extension about 6-7 inches long depending on your vehicle. No other tools are needed. Pull the old rubber bumper off by hand and then use the socket to remove the old bracket. Install the new bumper using the new bolt. Allow extra room when jacking up the vehicle to allow the socket wrench to fit under the new bumper when installing. Pull the tire for extra room if you want. About 30 minutes to one hour depending on your mechanical abilities. Use jack stands for safety.

Best upgrade I’ve done on my transit 250 high roof
I have my van converted to a camper. Lots of bouncing and difficult to drive in high wind. This made a HUGE difference in the handling. Such a cheap upgrade given you will always need it. I just did the front coil overs by sumo springs and the van drives like a dream

Huge improvement regarding body roll. Installed on 2018 Thor Compass Motorhome (2017 Ford Transit 350HD) to address body roll. Before instalation, turning hard left or right, as I left a stop, caused very significant body roll. No longer an issue. Low speed 90deg corner produces about a third of the body roll that it did earlier with no harsh ride quality. Win/Win situation. Confident that the cross wind issue (that is much harder to quantify) has been addressed too. Used large spacer only and resulting space was about 1/4". Had considered helper springs but these Sumo springs were chosen due to no appreciable additional weight and no harsh/stiff ride. Update: on the road for two months and plenty of windy weather days while driving. Amazing improvement in the wind. No need for any further suspension upgrades. The 1/4" gap between SumoSpring and axel now 0" gap while loaded. This is a good thing. Less body roll and still no harshness in ride. Extremely pleased that I discovered this product.

Thes Sumo springs were fitted to a Ford Transit 470e. So far (2 weeks) they have been brilliant. Rollback sway has reduced significantly. The installation took half an hour for both. I needed to give plenty of clearance for tool access above the leaf spring so lifted the chassis as high as possible to relieve the leaf spring. This has been a good upgrade to the van.

Installed Sumo Springs on my Ford Transit 350 camper van. They added about an inch to height at the wheel well and two inches at the trailer hitch. The ride is smoother than before the Sumo Springs were installed with less jarring when crossing pavement joints. There is less sway than before.
