I used mine to place on a bruised shoulder blade. I also used them to calm down the pain in my leg caused by surgery. I was in hospital for 6 weeks and bedridden so these ice packs were ideal for my situation. However there is one design fault that the designers really should consider changing. The corners of the ice pack can feel very sharp on sensitive and bruised skin. They are very pointed. The corners need to be rounded off. I have rounded off all of mine and they feel so much better to use.
