Great hat , fits good.

Too fussy to use with velcro straps all over the place. Blows in one's face if it's windy. Not safe in that regard.

The visor is too thick and heavy. The lightweight fabric in the back is no match to the front weight. Therefore the visor constantly drops to block the view. And I am constantly adjusting the fit. I used to have a Sunday Afternoons hat and a cheap knockoff. The only tangible difference between them was the visor construction. The authentic one was light weight and never in the way. I thought that's why expensive hats are worth the expense. So when I needed a new hat, I paid the extra to get a Coolibar. How disappointed I am! This one didn't put more thoughts on the design than any random cheap hat. To be fair, it indeed provides good UV protection when you wear it. But it is a pain to wear.

Overall this hat was a good buy. I have been using a similar Coolibar hat for a few years now. It's starting to wear a bit, which is expected. I use it when I do yard work, as the TEXAS sun will beat you down quickly if you don't have some type of protection. That and I burn quickly so something like this is a necessity for me. Anyway, my only complaints are 1) that they discontinued the hat I have been wearing and 2) despite being the XXL size this one fits just a bit tightly around my head. There is plenty of material to cover my neck both front and back, it's just the fit of the hat portion itself that I would have preferred to be a tad larger. My head isn't huge either; the Coolibar hat I've been wearing fits quite well. Yet another reason I was disappointed to find it no longer available. I don't know what it is these days with clothing manufacturers making everything SO SMALL. But they do. I digress. WRT sun protection and quality, this is an excellent product. My recommendation to Coolibar is that they offer an XXXL size. I'd snatch one up immediately if they offered such a variant, despite already having bought this one. UPDATE: This message is for Coolibar, and I hope that they actually read these reviews. For me, after a year of having this particular hat, I must admit to not using it that much. I find that in most all circumstances, I reach for my old Coolibar hat and prefer it over the new one. The old one has the parting in the middle instead of on one side. The reality is Coolibar, that for me anyway, I walk around most of the time with the hat not fastened. Therefore I much prefer the old had (parted in the middle) because it protects both sides of my neck equally. If I wear the new hat (parted on the side) the one side of my neck is unprotected and the other has all of this mass hanging off of it, which is both uncomfortable and at times an annoyance. Therefore when the lining began to separate from the brim on my old hat, I sewed it up. When the brim broke in one section, I sewed that back together too. When the velcro began coming off, I bought new velcro and installed it. And it's this old hat that I continue to use everyday. Thew new hat is merely a backup, almost never used. Finally, the breathing apparatus on the new hat is horrible. If I am doing anything strenuous, I must work to breathe. That doesn't happen with the old hat due to the location of the parting line. Yet another reason I prefer the old hat. So Coolibar: BRING BACK THE VERSION OF THIS HAT THAT PARTS IN THE MIDDLE!!!!!!!!!!

i wear this when I am driving to cover my neck and face from the blazing sun - it works great, easily foldable- I keep it in my glove box. Also great for Hiking.

i like that it is a breathable material, however i wish the company made some kind of attachable sunglasses because when i look down with my sunglasses sometimes it will slip out from underneath them and block a part of my vision. The cap has an elastic band that’s adjustable by a wide margin which is 10/10
