Keeping your fresh tattoo moisturized after can also alleviate some pain as well. For aftercare, you can use bacetrin with lidocaine but honestly I don't know if you will really notice much difference. **Q: Should I wash with antibacterial soap before each time I need to add more because my tats getting dry? After the first 24 hours of having the initial covering on- remove the covering, wash with soap (antibacterial shouldn’t be needed) then let it dry for a bit, maybe an hour or so. Once dry apply Saniderm bandage to your tattoo. Leave it on for at least five days- longer if you can (the longer the better). Carefully peel the bandage after you’ve waited that long in shower using hot water to loosen the Saniderm.
