Review: Gentle and effective - For over a year, I have tried to find a solution to my itchy scalp and dandruff. I’ve tried all the medicated stuff I could find, but nothing worked. I thought I would give this a try but I was skeptical since it doesn’t look like all the medicated stuff on the market. Within a few days, the itchiness is gone and apparently quite a bit of the dandruff too. I’ve made other lifestyle changes at the same time, so it’s possible that I could attribute some of the success to those other changes, but the shampoo does seem to be a big part of it. The smell isn’t great, but it’s not strong. I’d rather have that than a strong scent to act as a hormone disruptor.

If you want hair like the oceans of bouncy, shimmering hair you see in the commercials, you're going to have to figure out your hair type and use a bunch of products that -- if you're here looking at this product -- your skin isn't going to like. Ladies and gentlemen, you cannot have both. My hair is its own worst enemy; this shampoo was not made for my kind of hair. However, I didn't knock a star off. Know why? It didn't claim to be a fix for my hair woes. It claimed to be kind to my skin woes. And it has. So, if you have finicky hair that needs special products, chances are this one isn't going to do your hair a lot of good. But, if you're suffering from scalp or skin problems (I don't really have scalp problems that this can fix, but my eczema is bad enough that shampoo runoff is damaging to the flareups on my hands and arms and legs), this stuff will let you get through your shower without wanting to peel your skin off from itchiness and pain. Meanwhile, if you have awesome not-finicky hair, this probably won't affect you at all, you lucky goose. Bottom line: it did what it promised, and I love it for that -- but it ain't no miracle product. It won't do more than what it's meant to do. Remember that, and make your choices accordingly.

**Q: does this shampoo help remove dandruff from scalp?**
A: No it doesn't remove dandruff.  It's primarily for people with sensitive skin since other shampoos can irritate your scalp.  I found it helpful.  It is good to have several shampoos that are gentle products if you have any kind of skin issues.  Dandruff can be caused by many things.  So if you have very bad dandruff, I would recommend that you have a dermatologist look at your scalp.

**Q: ok for treated hair?**
A: Works great on my colored hair.  The conditioner makes my coarse hair soft

**Q: Isn’t it drying? Second ingredient is alcohol and smells very strong.**
A: I use the exoderm conditioner with it and that prevents the dryness. I put very very little conditioner and it's more than enough. The smell mostly goes away once you wash it out and disappears once your hair is dry. I got it for the itchiness mostly, and honestly within a week the itchiness completely stopped. So I was happy.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best allergy friendly shampoo!

This is one of 3 shampoos that I have found that I am not allergic to (Thank you eczema/ACD) and this is by far the best of them. It's still a little drying on my hair texture (naturally wavy/curly) but it really helps with scalp itchiness and does a good job cleaning my hair without needing to scrub for too long.
