The Panasonic KX-T7730 is a 12 key telephone system which is compatible with the KXT 206 and KXTA 624 systems and the new KX-TES308 and KX-TES824 phone systems. It incorporates every key-phone functionality, including a LCD display providing the user with useful information such as the number dialed, day, date, time and the duration of each call made. The LCD display also gives the user easy access to advanced system programming. But unless you have significant experience programming phones and phone control systems, these are not just plug and play. They involve a lot of planning and programming. However, for a small business or an advanced home telephone system these phones, when connected to the control unit, offer many advanced phone features. They can include making room-to-room calls, transferring calls from one room or phone to another, conference calling internally or externally and communicating with an intercom at a door or gate. Lights on the phone can can be programmed to show which extensions are busy and which outside lines are in use. The twelve buttons with lights can be programmed for choosing outside lines or extensions and for controlling an electric door lock or a powered gate. Standard CAT-3 (four conductor) wiring is all that is required for all of these advanced features.
Review: Great replacement set for an old system - Bought this hoping it would replace a broken set (KX-T 7335) that was over 10 years old. I was kind of worried that it wouldn't work. It arrived almost immediately and plugged right in. The PBX system (intercom) worked well and was easy to label--I just pressed the buttons and they rang to the other phones so I knew how to label them. So glad this worked and thankful it came so soon.

A: This phone works with ONLY A specific Panasonic system. The programming and send up will be done on the system, not on the phone.

**Q: Can you use a headset with this phone?**
A: Yes you can.  I use a Plantronics S12 Corded Telephone Headset System 64703-03.

**Q: is this comparable to KX-T7736-B ?**
