Give yourself plenty of slack
The connector was to replace one that was factory molded on a 40 ft cable. I had to cut off the connector and then had to trace the ends by conductivity to make sure I put them in the right order. The ends of the cable were a bit fiddly so we tinned them to make sure there were no loose filaments. Each connection had a small loop to allow us to use tools to hold it in place so the tiny screws could secure the ends. Once complete, the cover went on easily and it is working correctly. I may need to buy another one for the other end, but this one is working great.

Worked flawlessly!!
My CRT monitors cable had a issue and it was non removable. I tried to replace it with a new cable and splice it together. Because the wiring for VGA cables and monitors is not standarized matching colors is almost pointless. This solderless replacement end saved me so much time and effort. I still had to open the CRT to finally figure out what wire was going to what, thankfully it was printed on the circuit board. My monitor works great now!

Worked perfectly, and a heckuva lot better than having to crimp.
Saved time and aggravation (and the cost of expensive crimping tools). Much quicker and easier than the crimp-type connector it replaced.

handy
This is a unique product for building and testing cables. Several pieces of radio transceivers use this type plug for data comms but the pin-outs vary. This allows the building of temp cables to test the radio and verify pin-outs. I hope the screw terminals are sturdy enough for lots of cycles!

Terrific to break out FlexRadio Ham Radio Transceiver Aux Connector
Absolutely perfect to gain access to Straight Key Input and Line Level Audio input on FlexRadio 6000 series SDR transceivers!! Much better than traditional DE15 connector for strain relief and later augmentation. One small correction - It's a DE15 (Mini Size/3 Row) rather than the DB15 advertised (trust the photo).

Pins slightly bent on arrival
Arrived with pins bent slightly. Had I not realized this and fixed it before I inserted the connector, it would've been toast.
