No it’s not a Blue Sea or Perko but it does its job well for my application. I wanted to add a 12 volt dc light over my sump pit, using the sump pump battery. I have the sump backup pump and light wired through this switch. Now for the boat I would recommend paying for the Blue Sea or Perko battery switch. They are simply built better, you do get what you pay for here. The terminals are close enough together that it would be hard to route number fours and heavier gauge wires to this switch. You would have route them from at least two different directions, if not three, as this switch is considerably smaller than the other brands I have mentioned. 5 Stars for this application, for a boat where you need reliability and such, just buy a BlueSea or Perko switch.

I installed this switch as a power disconnect for the DC side of a travel trailer. The lugs are robust and the switch seems to be substantial. The quarter turn from on to off is very positive. The mounting screws were included, which made installation a breeze.

If you don’t have a battery switch installed yet, it’s a must! This one was easy. Step 1: Use a 2” hole saw to drill the battery box Step 2: screw it in Step 3: wire up the black line and leave the positive the way it is. Step 4: turn the switch to off and drink a beer because that only took you about 30 minutes and you no longer have to unhook your terminal leads!

Installed in Cat skid steer to isolate battery + terminal. Working well. Need to make sure cable terminals stay separated with shrink material or liquid insulation. Well made. May require making a mounting plate and drilling some holes to firmly attach it to vehicle frame.

Planned a 2 battery switching system for quite some time for obvious reasons. These switches can get terribly expensive. When I found this price it was time to complete the project. I didn't mount it where it would be in the weather. Just seemed like a bad idea. I can see where a dashboard mount would be convenient but I mounted it inside the battery covers under and enclosure so weather will not an issue. Lift the lid switch the battery on, no big deal. It is a heavy A/B/A+B/ OFF rotary switch. The connection bolts appear to be stainless steel so corrosion shouldn't be an issue, I coat them with dielectric grease anyway. This is the same heavy duty switch sold in the marine stores for way more money.
