Just the right size for smaller tasks.
i was looking for a smaller brass than my "smasher" one. This is it! Perfect size, weight and balance for the smaller objects needing a smack or tap. Wood handle allows you to choke up on it without losing balance with the head.

Well made
Seems like a well constructed hammer. The handle is hickory and firmly inserted in the head. The Gearwrench says it is made in USA though it doesn’t say anything the hammer. Old Craftsman tools often said made in USA. Good medium weight brass hammer. I’d recommend this to anyone.

Great Made-In-USA Brass Hammer
I needed a brass hammer for a manual transmission rebuild I was doing for my vintage Jeep and ended up purchasing this Gearwrench hammer. A big part of my purchase decision was that this hammer was Made-in-USA. After receiving it I was impressed by its build quality and its feel and balance. It has the perfect mass for small to medium-sized jobs where you need a non-marring hammer on steel parts.

Works well. Abnormally sized handle
Seems well made and as durable as any brass hammer can be when using it. Doesn’t mar working surfaces and after about a month of use it hasn’t chipped and broke off any unlike my previous tekton brass hammer. It’s smaller than what I imagined it would be but that is mainly due to wooden handle shape. Makes the head feel so small. I ended up shaping the wooden handle into more of a rectangular shoe with rounded corners and it is much more ergonomic and banana Ed now.
