A good read, keeps you turning the pages

When I ordered these I didnt realise the listing specified used books, but these are actually brand new/not been read so I'm really happy. Good price and prompt dispatch. Shame delivery took longer than expected but that's royal mails issue. Thank you

We've been reading these for years. Good, complicated plots that keep you turning over onto the next page. Arrived safely packed and on time.

This is not my usual fare. I'm not a big fan of the detective novel generally and this is the rather stereotypical troubled male detective lead who smokes and drinks too much paired with a more contained female character as sidekick. Rankin does it better and his is the only fiction in this genre I usually read. Having said that, the stories are complex and well plotted - with that satisfying Poirot-like denouement and explanation that ties all the loose threads together at the end; the writing is of great quality and you feel invested in the characters. Given it's not my favourite genre, I was surprised at how quickly I got through all four and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.

A collection set of books at a lower price than buying the individual books, brilliant. Books arrived on time and in appropriate sized packaging.

Only read first 2 novels but enjoyed them greatly. Can't wait to read the rest. Delivery from Amazon was excellent. Arrived early but very friendly courier rang and offered several options rather leave on door step.

I have yet to read all four books, but I am convinced that I shall enjoy every one of them.

Books are a 5 star read. However, if you buy this product, you might want to check immediately the "Lethal White" book, because in my case it was a misprint with about 30 pages missing. I doubt this is the only misprint so better look at once. By the time you made it through several thousand pages of books 1 to 3 plus 650 pages of book 4 it might be too late to return it.

The first book in the series introduces the down-but-not-out detective and his spunky temp secretary (you know she won't be a temp for long). Set in London. A supermodel is The Case in this one. She has jumped to her death -- or was she pushed? The second one is much more complicated and may not be good for readers who get squirmy -- lots of perverted sexual stuff. Haven't read the third one, but looking forward to it.

The 4 books are fantastic go into much more details than the MAX series although the tv series was really good. I hope Robert Galbraith aka JK Rowling will continue with additional books regarding Stirke and his side kick Robin sleuthing efforts. We can only hope!

My mom absolutely love this gift. She has not put the first book down since getting them for Mother’s Day.

I'm half way through the third book and can't wait for the release of the fith!
