High Quality Apron
I just received this apron and I do not mind telling you, this is a heck of an apron for $36. You ought to get one, it is a great value. The leather is fairly heavy, covers the knees the neck collar is nice snd it is comfortable. I am 5’ 10”, 185 lbs and the Large fits me jsut about perfectly. Really good apron, especially for the price. mjac

Very Well Built!
Sized well! 5'11" 210lbs, the XL fits like a jacket, just as expected with plenty of room at the sleeve ends and for layers underneath. The elastic straps are well placed and work well to keep the garment in a comfortable position. The buckles allow quick on/off and is much appreciated. The star of the show are the arms! The rear of the arms cover the entire shoulder blade, allowing ample movement before the elastic straps engage. It feels like a full garment until you feel the straps gently holding the shoulder blade flaps together. Aside from a couple of blemishes in the leather, which is overall great quality for the task, I love this protective gear.

High Quality, wish it came in XXL
The quality looks excellent ( I prefer this desigh with the leather vs trusting cotton with flame retardent). I wish it came in a double XL as I am 5'10", 235 lbs with a 40" waist. The sides just do meet at the half way mark but I'd prefer they go 3/4 around my waist. I did leave the top strap attached and slid it over my head. I'm not sure how anyone can latch something that goes across their shoulder blades with a rear snap, I would need to be double jointed. A side or front latch system seems more practicle. I really like the neck coverage for welding, it's easy to get burns or UV exposure without such a design. I didn't notice any smell and it came wrapped in plastic. While sleeves would be considered short if we were fitting as a dress shirt (by an inch or two) the fact that you would use welding gloves should address that. Quality look excellent, I'd recommend this but like others have said it runs on the smaller side. If they offered a XXL I would of returned the "XL" I bought for that one. As it stands I'll keep this one and update the review as it sees actual use.

Great protection at a reasonable price.
Arrived on time in good condition exactly as described. At 5'8" and 200# I ordered 2xl. It fits perfect for me. Over the years I've destroyed numerous pairs of pants and shirts, mainly from burning steel sparks from an angle grinder. As soon as it arrived I put it to good use. I was cutting 1' strips from 1/4" plate steel with cutoff disks. There was a hot spot about crotch high, but no apparent damage to the leather. My pants and skin are intact. Saving that one pair pays for the apron. My only quibble would be the buckles in the back are hard to reach. I am very pleased!

Heavy Great product!! And fits!
Have not used yet, But good fit and well made for the price. 5'11". .At bellybutton 44in. I orderd (XLg). South Ga. It will work well in the winter, hot in summer. Very very happy that I will not find moth holes in my clothes going forwards!!! I have a Chinese shoe patcher $115.00 that I will use to add some pen pockets and other adjustments, but overall GOOD AS IS! It is smelly but no rusty buttons or moisture. You can use saddle soap to wash. Most welders wont though. Going to be great when grinding too!!!!!

Bad fit
Kind of disappointed with this. It is constructed well from decent leather the design has flaws, specifically, when you wear it you lose a lot of movement in your arms. This is because once it is on, the shoulders are really restrictive making it difficult to manipulate things in front of you.

I bought this apron for welding and sanding rust. I’m 5’8” with a medium build, and it fits me well with a bit of room to spare. I can see it feeling snug on someone larger. The quality is solid, and it provides good protection against flying bits of hot metal. I first used it while metal sanding with a grinder, and despite the cold weather, I wore just a t-shirt underneath and stayed warm. One thing to note—when it’s brand new, there are some flaky bits of leather on the inside that will get all over your clothes. Personally, I don’t mind since I expect to get dirty and wash up after working anyway. But if that’s a dealbreaker for you, wear older clothes or consider a different apron. Otherwise, I’d recommend it.

Been using this for weekend work, doing MIG while seated or standing at a table. No more holes and hot BB's through my pant legs. Would definitely recommend. Only drawback is the leather was still damp and stinky when it arrived, so I had to let it air out for a week or two but all is good now. The elastic straps and velcro are holding up so far, but if you wanted to used this all day every day, I suspect you'd wear out the elastic or the plastic clips and have to come up with a plan B. I also like the high collar and good coverage for the back of the neck. The sleves are snug if you wear thicker sweaters or jackets underneath, but a hoodie and a thin cotton FR jacket is fine. Plus there's no lining in the sleeves, so the leather has a lot of friction when sliding your arms in and out if you're wearing a rough jacket and it can be a pain to put on and off. Size-wise, I'm 6'1 and 230 lbs, the XL is an OK fit but it probably would be a little snug for someone who's heavier or more round in shape.

En lo que a mi respecta, cumplio al cien por ciento con mis espectativas. Cubre perfectamente toda el area de riesgo de salpicaduras al soldar o lijar. Es un poco pesada pero creo que es aceptable debido a su tamaño y forma.

As someone deeply entrenched in the world of jewelry making, 3D design, and various crafting pursuits, I'm always on the lookout for tools and equipment that can enhance both safety and productivity in my workspace. Recently, I had the opportunity to test out the Jewboer Leather Welding Apron Jacket, and here are my thoughts on this product. First and foremost, let's talk about protection. The heavy-duty leather construction of this apron provides a substantial barrier against sparks, heat, and potential splatter, which is crucial when working with tools like welding torches or grinders. The apron covers a significant portion of the body, from neck to knees, offering ample coverage to shield against any stray sparks or debris. The adjustable neck strap and sleeves ensure a snug and secure fit, minimizing the risk of any exposed skin coming into contact with hazardous materials or hot surfaces. This feature adds an extra layer of safety, especially during intricate tasks that require a high degree of precision and concentration. In terms of comfort, the apron is relatively lightweight considering its robust construction. The supple leather material allows for ease of movement, which is essential when working for extended periods. However, I did find that the apron could be slightly restrictive in certain positions, particularly when bending or reaching, which may require some adjustment to find the optimal fit. Durability-wise, the leather material holds up well to the rigors of daily use. It withstands minor abrasions and punctures, providing long-lasting protection for the wearer. The stitching and construction also appear to be of decent quality, although I would recommend reinforcing critical stress points for added resilience over time. Overall, the Jewboer Leather Welding Apron Jacket is a practical and reliable piece of safety gear for anyone working in a workshop or studio environment. While it may not offer the same level of customization or advanced features as higher-end welding aprons, it certainly gets the job done at an affordable price point. If you're in need of a sturdy apron that provides adequate protection without breaking the bank, this could be a suitable option to consider.
