The camera being next to the lights is a terrible idea. Where to bugs go at night? To the lights! Which in turn causes motion in front of the camera and you being woken up at 12:30am, 2am, and 3:30am because of a moth flying by the camera.I used this for about a month and now have completely disabled the motion alerts. I could have purchased a $20 flood light/motion sensor and saved $130. I do not recommend this product. If I were to buy something like this again, I would buy just the camera and mount it several feet away from flood lights. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ring, the ONLY hard wired door bell out there *by L***A on September 11, 2018* The device works as advertised.Takes about three seconds from the alert that someone is at the door to seeing them.You can talk to the person at the door.Video quality is fantastic, even at night, although at night video is B & W.I attribute this quality because the connection is WIRED. Using WiFi would just be sporadic, iffy. Besides, the Ethernet connection is powered (know as POE). All you need to connect and power the device is a SINGLE cat 5 (or better) cable. They provide the POW power injector for you.The only other connector is a two pin screw connection for you regular house door bell. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great connection but tough installation *by T***R on October 29, 2018* Connects rapidly but installing it is not easy and it requires an electrical box be installed. Not an easy task in stucco!However they do include a box type mount and have pretty good instructions.Also you will not be able to use wedges to angle the camera for a better view, you have to angle the entire box, doable but takes some fiddling so definitely not a quick and easy install.
