I bought this book in the paper-back condition. Surprisingly, even though I'd been an elementary teacher for almost 25 years, I'd never read this book. I bought it to go with a felt board from Amazon. It's a great children's book with wonderful illustrations. I supppose the theme is problem solving and thinking ahead. I plan on reading this to the 4-year-old I babysit. This would be a good book for up to 2nd or 3rd graders to read on their own.
