R.F. Simpson, Monumental's head, dismisses what he thinks is a flash in the pan: talking pictures. Despite the fact that this is ranked the best movie musical of all-time, I personally feel that it does not hold a candle to "Band Wagon" despite the fact that "Singing In The Rain" is superior in color, spectacle, visual effects, and dancing.
