I've been using the Internet to learn how to make Chinese food. Many recipes call for this product and believe me, it is a high quality product and makes a huge difference in your recipe. It's Wife Approved so you know it's good. ;-)Excellent product. Reasonable price. Fast shipping.

I've ordered this before, and we like it and think the price is excellent. I just re-ordered, and this time it arrived LEAKING. It was well packed, but the plastic packaging was wet, and there is obviously wine missing out of the bottle. My fear is that if the cooking wine can get OUT, what bacteria might have been able to get IN? Unfortunately, amazon says this is non-returnable, so I'm not happy with this order at all. The stars I gave for flavor, etc., are based on other another purchase of this product.

I use this in my stir fry sauce. My husband says it’s as good as in any restaurant, which I attribute to using good quality authentic ingredients like this Chinese wine.

Bottle cap was dented and loose. Lost about 8 oz of product. There are no returns or refunds on this so beware.

Although this item was wrapped in bubble wrap, put into a shipping bag, and then packed into a box, it leaked! I haven’t even opened this product yet but the cap is damaged and clearly not sealed. I’m hesitant to use it because of this and it cannot be returned. When I was washing the product off the outside of the bottle both labels wiped right off as I ran the bottle under cold water.Very disappointing.

Love the flavor it gives to the food excellent buy.

With Covid-19 came the shut down of my favorite Chinese restaurants plus I live rural. Nobody delivers here and it's not always convenient to drive out for takeout. We do sometimes, but prior to Covid-19,you could go hit the buffet at the Golden Dragon or the Peking Wok once or twice a month and have hot delicious food. So like a lot of people, I started searching online for "copy cat" recipes of our favorite dishes. I always wonder why even something as simple as a fried chicken wing takes on a special flavor. I thought it was just soy sauce in the marinade. Nope. It's Shaohsing wine. This Mother's day, I replicated all of my mother's favorite dishes from the buffet, including wanton soup, fried wings and a General Tso inspired dish made with shrimp instead of chicken. Those wings marinated in a mixture overnight that contained two tablespoons of the Shaohsing wine. The wonton filling and stir fry veggies also contained a splash (along with other flavors like toasted sesame oil, miso paste, etc.) The results were outstanding. The wings, especially, were banging!! I thought I was going to have leftovers but nope! Everyone ate ample servings and wanted "to go" boxes. I have hosted a lot of dinner parties. People consider me a good cook but I don't think I've ever gotten so many compliments in one night. I would definitely want to always have this in my pantry and looking forward to trying new recipes.
