Easy install & Brite colors
I am thoroughly impressed with this set, and it has become my favorite. The blue lights are stunning in a thick early morning fog, while the multi-color lights are vibrant on a clear night with no fog. As someone who has used three other sets of lights in the past few years, I can attest that this one outshines them all in terms of quality, performance, and value. Although the previous sets I used were more expensive, they did not provide the same level of satisfaction. The only drawback I have encountered is that the remote control requires me to be in close proximity to the truck, approximately 10 feet away, for it to function properly. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that it is worth every penny. My vehicle of choice is a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500.

Malfunctioned control box. (Fixed)
The main unit failed after about 2 days, and just a few minutes on each day. It dosent light up proper colors and some colors stay on no matter what color is selected. The red and blue LED’s stay lit for whatever color is used. I have contacted LEDglow directly from their webpage and will update when I get a response. I really hope they fix this issue because I spent quite a few hours putting them in and taking great care in wire placement and securing it all. EDIT 1. After they had returned an email I had described my problem. They told me to check the wires and plugs for damage and such. Everything was fine. Especially since I took great care in running wires in safe places like inside panels. They asked me for a video which they asked for. After they had seen the footage they told me it was covered. And they would mail a new base unit. EDIT 2. I took out my old damages unit and put it under a electronic safe power probe. Tunes out it was feeding power to all LED’s. After receiving the new unit I just put it in. Works great so far. Thank you to the guys at LEDglow for taking care of me. I’ll come back and edit this later on to let anyone know how I made out after some time with it. I had also noticed on my old base that the white color selector on the control box looked like a very white tealish. On the new control box it’s clearly white. So maybe the control box was faulty from the start.

HERE IS THE REAL INFO ON THIS KIT
#1, Control head can be located anywhere INSIDE passenger compartment, hopefully within drivers reach and view. #2, To interact with music(must be close to thump) mounting control head inside sub box will grant you power and wire routing convenience however all operations will likely be from the remote only and do use 12v constant, not switched. this unit uses very little power. the inline fuse supplied has wimpy connections but I soldered them to reinforce continuity. #3, Control head has two MALE led connectors, On my 2000 Explorer, I mounted 36" first on front end, FEMALE towards drivers side, fed female up and aft to shift cable grommet under brake booster and inside to controller, plugged in, then mount a 48" under drivers side, FEMALE forward, run female up behind inner fender and followed other cable inside via shift cable grommet same as front one and plug into control head,Power on, then a 24" going aft drivers side and the a 36" for rear. Tape remaining connector with waterproof tape. Then added the 48" on passenger side, female plug forward plugging into the one already installed up front, then add the 24" female forward plugging into the 48"...waterproof tape on the end plug of each run...you now have it equal lights on each of the two output led's from control head, two branches equal led's, Trick is to just locate controller first and work from there. Controller can be powered up while you are working. Mounting hardware supplied is not ideal, some good cable ties will be great and a few strategically placed drill n tap hangers will do. The plugs from light to light are fragile so be careful and be sure they are FULLY engaged or some lights will only partially work. This is a good system which works as well as it's installer. The control head would be the best in the business if it had the ability to ANIMATE what the system is currently performing including mode and color I suppose with some super mini led indicators on the face of the controlling unit......Lights are bright and colors are vibrant !!!!

Great set of LED's that look really awesome at night.
I got these in the mail about 3 days after I ordered with standard shipping. Installed them the same night on my '78 C10. Gotta say it looks bad a** at night, especially the purple, red, and green. There is a specific way the instructions tell you to install them, which then creates a problem (at least for me) as the passenger side where it says to locate the main control box, is not where the hole in the firewall is, so I had to install the box in the engine compartment, at least until I figure out how to extend the wires to the cab. Other than that, just note that there are tiny wood screws, plastic clips, and cheap small zip ties included to install the lights with. I used my own thick, large zip ties, as well as self drilling sheet metal screws to install. A couple of the plastic clips you are supposed to screw in broke when I did this (so just know you need to be careful if using those). Otherwise, I used zip ties only on the 24" and 36" tubes as there was not a good place to screw in clips, nor was I going to drill through my body panels or roll pan. Overall these are fantastic lights and especially good if you have a long bed or even crew cab truck as these cover the full area. The only reason for the 4 stars if because of the cheap hardware included (wood screws for going through steel... really?), and the remote being somewhat painstaking to get back to the normal solid as well as find any specific mode. The light coverage and how they look from afar are definitely 5 star worthy though. I have only had these on for two days now but will update if anything changes.
