The spine of the book is broken and it looks like the pages will fall apart and out

I bought this “new hardcover” book thinking I’ll have access to the ebook (which I will be mainly using at work). The actually book is in Great condition but the ebook scratch and reveal code has already been scratched (clearly used). I tried to input the code online but there was an error saying that this code is already in use. Terrible. I really needed this ebook for work tomorrow and now everything is delayed. Such an inconvenience and false advertising. I will be returning this book or I’ll need the seller to send me an actual new one without the code being used or scratched off.

I recently purchased this book as new, but I received a used rental copy instead. This situation is unacceptable to me. I kindly request a new copy for the price I originally paid.
