Quadrafire Pellet Stove Ignitor 7000-462!! (1)

Works as intended. Easy install. Previous one lasted almost 20 years

My pellet stove igniter died just before a big snow storm. This was next day shipping and easy to install. Great purchase for the money.

A good replacement to the original igniter. The igniter on my quadrifire pellet stove stopped working in the middle of winter and I needed a quick replacement. At this price, I am ordering an extra one to have as a backup.

I usually have to change these on a seasonal or bi-seasonal basis. Probably the main "wear" part on the pellet stove. Take my advice and go ahead and buy 2 at a time and leave the extra in the wiring compartment of your stove (that way you can find it when you need it). First time buying the 300w version but starts the pellets just fine and maybe it will last a bit longer than the 380w version. One suggestion to those of you that have adjustable feed; turn your feed rate to a point where the stove stays on longer so that you don't have as many stop start cycles and it will increase the life of your igniter.

This is the same part you can buy for 15.00 to the exact look for another seller! This seller advertising this a original Quadrafire part. It is not! Not only that but it has defects flat spots all over the ignitor and its also rusty and only shipped in a envelope with no protection. Further not as pictured or close to the quality of of the one pictured. Don't get ripped off and pick another seller or just buy the cheap 15.00 dollar one sold here on Amazon. Because that's the one your gonna get from this seller anyway! The flat spots will cause a higher resistance in those spots, and why in reviews pictured they burn out in those spots! Manufacturers process is sloppy at best. Also there is no rating printed on the wire, so how do you know it is actually rated as they say and shown in there advertisement. The one they show the wires are printed with the load capacity of the wire. Further the wires where connected to the element are not as shown. The one shown have larger diameter fiberglass shielding over the wire for extra protection as this is a constant area exposed to above 1000 degrees, as the pellet pot temperatures are designed for higher temperatures for efficiency and low emissions. This is also why you see burn out in the review pictures. Lastly look at the ones shown in the review pictures and they also do not match the advertisements pictures! But they do match a cheap 15.00 dollar one you can easily find here on Amazon as well.

This is my third element that I’ve prechased and they seem to last a month and a half then you have to replace them. The last time I ordered them I got two to have one for back up and thank god I did.

I am well pleased with this part, It was very easy to install with the exception of having to reuse the screw and the fact my original electrical connectors on the igniter were fastened with ceramic wire nuts which certainly had to be replaced I thought they were going to be hard to find but my local ACE hardware had them on hand. After cutting the ends off of my new igniter and stripping the ends of the wires it was a simple couple of twists and Wa’la I was done. It started right up the first time without any adjustments. It also seemed that the pellets began burning much faster than I expected. My original igniter lasted well over 5 years and I burn approximately 2.5 tons per year. I hope this one is of equal quality.
