CDI Electronics 423-6344 Johnson/Evinrude Engine Adapter Harness (1976-1995)

Took me five minutes to install. This adapter is designed to go from a newer modular type OMC controller wiring harness, to an older Evinrude motor red plug. My dash, warning lights voltage gauge, trim and tach all fired up. If fits right in the engine compartment.Saved me a ton of time of splicing wires.The product was better than I expected.

It is strange that it is so short. I had to cut and splice in every wire. Kind of a pain. But it works

Just like any wife or girlfriend will tell you, it works even though its not nearly long enough fulfill their needs quickly. you're going to spend an hour or so splicing wires together in order to make this anywhere close to long enough for your boating needs. only being 18" long this thing barely gets you away from the motor.

Worthless at 18 inches long.Refund went to gift card not my card.

Saved a lot of time and effort syncing my old Johnson master harness to the newer Deutsch style connectors on my new-used Evinrude.

Exactly what I was needing. Original had a 2004 50hp Johnson and I put at 1992 70hp evinrude but kept the Johnson wiring harness

I don’t know if it will even make it out of the engine and one end plugs in to the engine and the other end plug on at the remote control . SO why would this be a thing .So this 100 thing I HAVE TO CUT IT 😳

The part fits great I have tried contacting CDI about a connector question on the harness. You cannot get anyone to answer a call.
