This Stuff Works!
I did a search on the internet to find the best waterproofjng spray and this was one of them, not the top one but better priced. I sprayed 3 pairs of boots and 1 pair of shoes and still have spray left. After drying overnight I ran water over a pair of boots and it repelled perfectly. No discoloration on any of them and spray was easy to use. Note: very strong smell!! I sprayed outside with a mask and it was extremely strong smelling and I had to keep stepping away, so caution, but it works and I would buy again.

This stuff is amazing! It works just like the videos w/water running off
I bought this after researching several waterproofing sprays for suede shoes. I've used another highly rated brand, but this "looked" like it might work even better. I will say that the spray nozzle did have some manufacturing issues and was leaking from the base, but I washed what ran down my hand right afterward and all was well. I sprayed two pair of shoes, one full suede pair of Merrell slides, and the other was a mid-calf winter boot with suede and a wool-type fabric and some faux fur around the top (I didn't spray the faux fur other than some possible overspray). I hit both pairs with two coats from about a foot away and each coat was about 10 minutes apart. I waited about 15 minutes then carefully brought them into the house to dry (YES, apply this outdoors away from anything you don't want waterproofed). The spray did not affect the color of either pair of shoes. The next morning I did the "run the shoes under the faucet test" I'd seen in one of the videos. My husband looked horrified at first, but the product did exactly what was shown on the video, the water literally repelled off the shoe and ran off both pairs. My husband's fear was replaced with a look of complete awe, like he'd just witnessed a magic trick. The suede shoes were his new Merrell slides, he can be rough on his shoes so I felt protecting them properly up-front might give them a bit more life than they'd have otherwise. My boots are now waterproof too so I can wear them to clear snow when he's at work. Really happy with the performance of the product. If it holds up and does what it says, I will buy more to treat additional winter and camping shoes.

Mostly good product, but it has its downsides...
I use this for all my shoes and hats. It seems to be the best for water and stain protection. When applying the stuff, it does leave a clear liquid mist all over the item you are treating, but it will become invisible after a while. That said, it will change the texture and feel of the material sprayed, especially soft materials like wool, felt, velvet, and suede materials. The material will become slightly scratchy or crispy to the touch. You may want to soft brush the items after the stuff dries. One thing that I have noticed with my all my gentlemen's hats (wool and felts) is that if the hat scuffs up against something scratchy like a rough wall or something, it will leave behind white marks on the hat, like when you run your nails across your dry skin. The darker the material the more obvious it is. Spraying the area with a water bottle or using a soft brush often fixes the problem, but still kind of an inconvenience. Another downside of this product is that the spray can drips badly at the spray button, which can be the kiss of death with certain wool and suede like materials. Every can I have purchased has leaked badly. Prolonged spraying makes the problem worse. It is better to spray intermittently to minimize the problem. Make sure you never place the can over the item you are spraying so drips don't fall onto the item you are spraying. The overall effect of this stuff is good at protecting and preserving your shoes and hats, but not without some minor inconveniences.

Easy to use and does not leave marks when it dries
Left the material soft and pliable, easy to spray onto the material, when the application dried, it did not leave any marks or build-up. Will have to see how long it lasts and how well it protects. Pleased so far!

Hard to use
I purchased new boots and wanted to make them waterproof. I watched dozens of youtube comparisions and purchased this as it was recommend by several. The can felt about 1/2 full but it was hard to tell so figured it wasn't anything to worry about. As I started to spray my boots, all went well until all of a sudden "globs" came out not a fine mist. These globs made big marks on my new boots. I immediately tried to get the excess out of my boots before the spray set and left a mark. It has faded now but I can see it, no one else will probably notice. I haven't worn my boots outside yet so can't speak to the "rainproofing" but I was certainly unhappy with the globs of spray coming out of the can. I cleaned the nossle and tried again, same result. Worked fine and then all of a sudden the mist would go away and big spots would show up on the boots. Hopefully the waterproofing works!!

Works well
I am so impressed with this product. I have gone traveling to visit family only taking a pair of running shoes with me. It snowed in both places. Additionally, I went on a wet golf course. With one application, there was essentially no water intrusion into the shoes.

Super product! Wasn’t sure that it was gonna work but it did. I sprayed 3 of my pairs and still have enough for some. Although some spots weren’t waterproof probably cause i didn’t sprayed it right. But all in all pretty good!

I've previously chosen applicator styles of waterproofing, which worked well to a degree but were a complete faff to apply. Most of these applicator brands instruct you to wet the shoes before applying. I wasn't happy with a competitor applicator brand is been using (and the fact that I'd ended up with water marks on some nice suede boots from it), so I read around for a few days before deciding to try this. The decision was a combination of being an acceptable price and good reviews both on Amazon and when I googled the product. This spray is so much easier to apply, and the results are superb, it genuinely waterproofs the fabric of the shoe or boot. I've used it on some padded nylon boots, some suede boots, a pair of leather trainers and some mixed composition walking boots. All now tested out in snow and rain, with commendable results. I can't comment on how long an application lasts, but going by other reviewers I expect to need to reapply sometime in spring. A can does seem to contain a few applications though, so it's relatively economical over time. There was no apparent change in colour or staining across any of the footwear on application. It took between 30-45 minutes for the footwear to feel dry. Once waterproofed, water rolls off the footwear. It's impressive to watch! It's worth mentioning, as both the listing and other reviews have pointed out, that this stuff is seriously solvent based and you really do need to apply it in a well ventilated area - I went outside to do it and brought the footwear back into the house after spraying. Even so, there was a strong solvent smell as the footwear dried. I'm sold on this product from application through to performance. I will be buying it in future, it's much better than my previous footwear waterproofing brands.

Used the same one for several years and every time was impressed with the result. I hope the quality doesn't change with time.
