A Humidor Must-Have!
I recently picked up the Prestige Import Group Crystal Gel Humidification Beads for my humidor, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. Here’s why: Efficient and Long-Lasting: This unassuming 8 oz bag packs a punch! The crystal gel beads absorb and release moisture efficiently, keeping my cigars in the sweet spot of humidity. Seriously, a little goes a long way. I’ve had it in my humidor for weeks, and it’s still going strong. No Mess, No Fuss: Unlike traditional sponge-based humidifiers, these beads are mess-free. No dripping water, no mold worries—just reliable humidity control. Plus, they’re odorless, so they won’t interfere with the delicate flavors of your cigars. Easy to Use: Pop the bag into your humidor, and that’s it. No need to fuss with distilled water or constantly monitor levels. The beads maintain a consistent humidity range, which is a lifesaver for busy cigar enthusiasts. Space-Saving Design: The compact bag doesn’t take up much real estate in my humidor. More room for stogies! It’s discreet and blends seamlessly with the rest of my setup. Rechargeable: When the beads start to dry out (which takes a while), you can recharge them by soaking them in distilled water. It’s a sustainable solution—I appreciate that. Overall Impressions: The Prestige Crystal Gel Beads have become my go-to humidification method. They maintain the perfect environment for my cigars without any hassle. Whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or just starting your cigar journey, these beads are a smart investment. 🔥 Verdict: If you want a worry-free way to keep your cigars happy and flavorful, grab the Prestige Import Group Crystal Gel Humidification Beads. Your humidor will thank you! Remember, this review reflects my personal experience, and I purchased the product independently. Happy puffing, and may your humidor always be filled with the finest smokes! 🌬️💨

Works well, its yeilding a LOT MORE gel than I thought it would!
So far so very good! I could probably fill a kiddie pool with this gel using this sack of beads! Two tablespons will make 12cups of gel!! I did the math going by the weight of all of it divided by the weight of two tablespoons and there is roughly 132 cups in this pack that I got! It swells up fast and seems to do its job regulating at around 70%. Remember, just because it can do that, doesnt mean you can just stick a huge tub of it in a humidor, etc and not have it end up too wet and moldy. It can and will still happen, so dont be lazy! Lol. Also, I highly reccomend that you sterilize any containers, mixing bowls, pitchers, spoons, and hands before coming into contact with the gel and/or distilled water if you want it to last. It can get kinda gross over long term drying and rehydrating. A little 3% H²0² along with the new distiled water refil now and then will help prevent mold, too.

Impressive.
So far pretty impressed. Instructions are pretty vague. Pretty much telling you 2 table spoons yields 12 cups of gel. I’m impatient and wasn’t gonna try to calculate exact qtys. for the size tray I have. Didn’t need 12 cups. So I winged it. Pics. show how very little I used of the dry granules vs. water. I want to say 2 tea spoons (give or take) in each container and the container filled half way with liquid. Let them sit over night and they swelled pretty nicely. Transferred them over to my humidor’s water tray and added liquid. As you can see it was a soupy slosh. Next day, end of day the beads absorbed all the liquid and swelled even more. They weren’t lying when the claimed they swell 400Xs their original dry state. Not sure this will be much help, but it at least gives a visual of what to expect. My humidor is pretty stable and consistent at 70%. As I was messing with this upgrade, I left the door open so it dropped to 67%. After I closed it, it brought her right back in a matter of under minutes. Main reason for going with the beads, was because the bottom of the humidor was inconsistent. Top and middle would stay at 70%, bottom would range between 46%-50%. Now it’s very consistent between 69%-70%. I recommend these for stubborn humidors!

For Humidor
I bought this to use on my cigar Humidor. I liked that it has plenty to last for awhile, but it takes alot of water to get them to where you want them to be in order to get the right humidity level. Thankfully there's plenty in that bad so you can play around with the quantity.

Amazing.
AMAZING! The cost effectiveness is great. If you use open containers to humidify, this will last forever. These tiny beads will expand incredibly, however you do have to refill them with distilled water (or your choice of humidifier) monthly, I would suggest. 10/10 these might just last me the rest of my life.

These do not regulate RH to 70%, they are a glorified sponge.
Like many other people looking to use this product for a humidor, these are worthless for that use. The product claims that these crystals will maintain a 70% RH by just adding distilled water, that is not true. After 13 different attempts: crystals wet to varying degrees, some of the crystals wet, some not, waiting different time periods before they went into my humidor, none of these attempts kept a stable RH. Every single time upon placing them into my humidor, the humidity shot up to 78% before I would end the experiment.. fearing mold on my cigars. It surly would have gone higher if I waited longer. Something interesting, I placed 2 Boveda 72% RH packs in along with the crystals to see what would happen, sure enough, the RH started coming down, the Boveda, packs were doing the job the crystals claim to do. My educated guess, these are not RH stabilizing, they are like a glorified sponge, releasing moisture at the rate temperature allows. I suspect if you use a PG solution with these, that might work, but, that isn't what they advertise to do. Don't buy!

Works like a charm, a small spoonful is honestly all you need for a 40 cigar box and I should think it brings about 1000 spoonfuls (it expands considerably when hydrated). I have been using the same spoonful for half a year, simply re-hydrating when needed. Probably one is all you ever need.

Amazon covered the lack of one package, but I'm a little disappointed that the seller, who boxed this themselves, only sent one package when this is an order for 2. Please be careful with future orders, sellers. The beads themselves work great, however. My humidor is showing the correct humidity again!

If you're thinking of buying these Crystal Gel 70% RH Humidification Beads for your humidor, do it. Don't even think about it. I used a half of a teaspoon of the beads to 1 cup of distilled water. I used my thinking brain on that one! The package says not to completely saturate the beads however there's so much water to beads ratio, pretty hard not to. The pictures I've added are after about 3 hours of the beads soaking and the water is already pretty well soaked up. I'm still going to leave them for another 9 hours as the instructions say. So far, these things are incredible and I'm looking forward to using them in my humidor! Great product and price!
