I most recently purchased a 2T unit to replace the old one I had in daily use as a backup for almost 10 years. The old one actually failed softly, so I was able to pull off nearly all the data before it completely quit.I now have 4 of these units, and I am quite happy with them all. They are small, rugged, and powered through the data port, so they work easily with a laptop. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good / Bad Points about this drive *by on Reviewed in the United States May 23, 2021* I was happy to find this drive as I always recommend to my students never to buy a drive with only one port - it must have 2 options if a port goes bad so that data can still be recovered before the drive totally dies. I appreciate Lacie Rugged in still having these drives available as any student who bought the cheap one with one port always came to me at a most challenging time when their drive stopped working. How to get all their hard work recovered wo spending so much money to recover.I am only frustrated that the price on the 2 TB doubled since 2018 and very few available - what a rip off. It costs less for the 5TB by far than the smaller capacity. This is not an advantage as anyone knows - 5TB of information on a drive is 5TB to lose. That is why I prefer the smaller capacity. I hope they bring it back at a reasonable price.And finally - who has not lost the cord to a drive at the most inconvenient time?
