THIS COST-EFFECTIVE WAY TO GET A GREAT MICROFIBER SCRUBBER ALONG WITH THE IDEAL SQUEEGEE PROVED TERRIFIC as it's the dirt of any type that results in glass smearing or streaking when wiped dry if it's not been properly cleaned first. So the scrubber proved the ideal material to make it easy to remove without scratching so any type of cleaning solution should work well. A water-vinegar mix is said by many to be what works best of all if one can handle the smell of the vinegar. A friend who used to be a professional window cleaner said he experimented with all types of cleaning solutions & mixes & found THE MOST EFFECTIVE GLASS CLEANING SOLUTION was to mix 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap (he used Dawn but my gentler 7th Generation free & clear Dish Liquid worked fine) + 1/8 cup vinegar + 1 gallon of water. He said the value of adding a little bit of soap to the water-vinegar mix is that it helps the cleaning solution stay on the glass a little longer so it's easier to clean off before it dries which is what also helps avoid streaking. As I only have 14 windows & glass doors to clean here, his recommendation to just mix enough to fit in my 32 oz sprayer bottle worked ideally in providing more than enough spray + enabling the convenience of a spray bottle one can hang on one's belt instead of needing to carry a bucket full of liquid that can spill. When it first arrived I got scared thinking it wouldn't work after all due to seeing screw-in threads at the top of the pole but the beauty of that pole is it also enables a click-on option that fits this kit's items perfectly & locks them solidly into place super easily. I WAS GOING TO GET 2 OF THE EXTENSION POLES, 1 for the scrubber & 1 for the squeegee, but my friend correctly pointed out that there was no value in getting one for the squeegee as one has to climb on the ladder at that point anyway to properly wipe dry any left over drops. So it was more convenient to have a squeegee that can hang on one's belt while the microfiber towel hangs on one's shoulder & on the other the chamois cloth (to dry the squeegee after each pass as that cloth releases any dirt easily simply by rinsing with water unlike the microfiber & cotton cloths where the dirt gets embedded in so easily that often even extensive soaking in bleach can't fully remove without an extra strong detergent which my chemical sensitivities can't handle).

I wanted to wait to review this until I had actually used it a few times. This has completely changed the way I look at cleaning windows and I can't believe I waited this long. Based on Internet searches, I used a solution of Dawn dish detergent and warm water to clean my windows. Not only was it significantly faster to wash them, they were cleaner and less streaky than when I use newspaper and glass cleaner. The "scrubber" is very soft and yet removed dried on dead bugs with ease. The squeegee worked flawlessly all 4 times I have used it, and is the clincher in getting streak-free windows. There were cheaper versions of this kind of thing on Amazon, however I believe I made a good choice. Materials are all high quality, could easily attach to an extension pole (of course this brand has it's own locking extension pole system, but any pole with some duct tape would work too). This was a great purchase and I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you haven't tried this method of washing windows yet. There are some great videos on YouTube about washing windows with these, check them out and save yourself a lot of time.

Whenever my wife would suggest we wash the windows, I thought of every excuse possible. It wasn't that I didn't want clean windows, but the process was time-consuming and even with my best efforts, there was always streaks! Plus, I had to get the stepladder out and try to straddle shrubs and window wells. We had tried virtually every product and method, but always streaks. We decided to try the Progrip Window Cleaning Kit and the Ettore Window Cleaning Soap. I also decided to purchase the 4' Extension Pole. I will never regret spending the money to purchase those items! We washed all the windows in a fraction of the time it usually took. The scrubbing tool worked wonderfully. It quickly and easily cleaned the window (much better than the rags I used to use) and the squeegee left them absolutely streak-less. I found the extension pole to be very sturdy and it was easy to attach the scrubber or squeegee. No need for the stepladder! Yea!

I have a home with 5 meter long glass sliding doors. I could not get them to look really clean for nothing. I paid a person to come and clean them but still there were streaks. So I started the search and found this! Wow!!! It really is a game changer. I put Palmolive dish soap and water in a container. Soaked and softly squeezed out the excess water to not have water running out. Spread the soapy water over the window with that wand and then with the squitzy started running it over the glass. OMG!!! Unbelievable!!! I really am in shock! It only took me a few minutes to clean a 5 meters long sliding door both sides and both in and out and the look is just amazing. When the windows are dirty, the house looks dirty too. Clean windows and Jesus, the house looks amazing. I am buying an extra set for the downstairs too. I just love this thing.

The rubber squeegee part doesn't work quite as well as I was hoping, but the cloth one works perfectly. On the rubber one, it is a bit uneven and doesn't clean evenly, sometimes letting the window cleaner seep by/not get fully cleaned up. I am a bit nervous that it will someday scratch my windows as some reviewers mentioned, so I am going to avoid using the rubber one. I don't want to deal with sending it back in hopes of getting an even one.

Why, oh why, have I been using paper towels and Windex for so long??? This is definitely a much easier way to clean windows! I have some tall outdoor windows that get dirty fast and I needed a more efficient solution. These are professional quality tools that make window cleaning almost too easy. It seemed like it took me longer to get the bucket filled with water and cleaning solution than it did to actually clean the windows! If you have a lot of windows to clean and hard to reach outdoor windows, then I definitely recommend this! It's super fast and does a great job cleaning even the dirtiest windows. The microfiber cloth on the washer tool is machine washable as well! Be sure to also get the extension pole,.cleaning solution, and a bucket wide enough to accommodate the 10" washer. However, if you need to clean indoor windows, I'd recommend finding another solution since the excess water from the washer/squeegee will make a mess on your window sills or floor. But for outdoors where the mess isn't a problem, it's fantastic!

Excellent price for this set. I ordered this set of two separate pieces instead on the type that is 2 in 1 because of the weight. When you are working overhead the added weight increases muscle fatigue. Also the type with both devices attached to one pole is just a tad harder to use. I like the Ettore products as they are well made and really do a good job washing windows. The window washer pad is easy to take off and throw in the washer. The Ettore squeegee is well made and is really effective at cleaning windows without the usual streaks. Definitely easier than wiping down with rags. Makes window washing a breeze. I have the telescoping locking handle. The window washer and squeegee handles lock in place and are fairly easy to disconnect when I want to switch. If you don't want to switch you could buy another handle as they are well made and cheap.
