The existing cancellers were the ones that get super hot and melt everything that isn't metal. So they can't be placed inside of a headlight housing.These are totally different in that aspect. These get rid of the error message and don't melt plastic/wiring like the other models. Since that was the case I can now put these inside of my headlight housing and not have to worry about trying to figure out how to keep the housing moisture proof with wires hanging out. I have had these about a month and so far no melting of anything inside the housing. I've opened the housing and was able to hold these in my hand without any issue. They do get warm but not melting hot like the other kind you will find on Amazon.Wish I would have bought these sooner as the last ones I found out the hard way about their "melting" capabilities. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Solid Little Units ... *by C***Y on September 13, 2018* Nice solid little units - I couldn't use them in the end - on a 2002 Corvette there's ZERO clearance in/around the headlight assembly (the lift system bar - happens to be directly behind the highbeam bulb) - thus - couldn't figure out how to mount these to something metal - again - most of the front of a Corvette is either plastic - or - fiberglass - thus - the backside of these - because the contain a load resister - needs to be mounted to something metal to aid in cooling ... sigh ... just couldn't use them .. sad cause there nicely made - solid - great connectors etc ... just need to be mounted to something metal ... ### ⭐ Disappointed *by T***B on November 25, 2018* I installed one on my 2016 Challenger. Look at the lights, can you tell which one is supposed to be so much brighter? I can't. Also, it won't switch to amber at all, which was the big selling point for me. I thought they were supposed to default to amber and be able to switch to a brighter, whit light.
